My Experience with Garnier Skin Active Matcha + Kaolin Face Mask:
Matcha is the finely ground powder of specially grown and processed green tea. The green tea is supposed to contain more thiamine and caffeine than other kinds of tea. The combination of these two chemicals calm and soothe your skin to a great extent. Drinking matcha tea is a trend these days. So, the trend has also entered our favourite skin care market and here is a review of a face mask which has matcha in it.
The Garnier Skin Active Matcha + Kaolin Face Mask comes packaged in a small plastic sachet which bears all the product-related information. The wet mask is creamy and slightly thicker in consistency. It spreads smoothly on the skin. The product is green in color. The fragrance is mild and fruity.
Usually, I apply a generous amount of the product on my face, avoiding the eye and lip areas. I have sensitive skin, but the mask doesn’t feel itchy after application. It feels like applying multani mitti on my face. However, it doesn’t dry on the skin. As per the instructions, I keep the mask for around 10 minutes and then, I wash it off with warm water. There is more than enough product for at least 2 usages. The mask is very easy to wash off.
I keep the mask for 10 minutes after which it dries out completely. It provides a squeaky-clean feeling to my skin, which I love. My skin also feels very soft and smooth and I could not stop touching my face. However, my face feels a little dry after using the mask. I apply a moisturiser immediately after washing my face. The mask is free from parabens, which is great. But, it fails to provide the instant brightening effect to my skin. My skin feels soft and smooth to touch but, I could not notice any visible results. This mask will be perfect for someone with oily skin.
