This review will be on one of the newly-released Giorgio Armani eye tints. I recently hauled 2 of them out of the 12 shades released. This review will be on the shade “6 Green Iron.”
A long-lasting, tinted formula with the comfort and smoothness of a cream for intense, vibrant eye looks.
What it does:
This innovative formula transforms from liquid to solid, instantly adhering to the eyelid while providing 16 hours of smudge- and crease-proof wear. Formulated with a hold booster, a creamy polymer with glycerine that allows pure color pigments to blend together seamlessly and stay on the lids, this tint is infused with a color vibrancy booster, which is enriched with natural pigments and pearls. This unique complex works together to evenly disperse high-density color. This eye tint features dynamic runway-inspired shades that can be used as an eye shadow or eyeliner, or layer them together for natural to glamorous looks.
What else you need to know:
This innovative formula debuted at the Giorgio Armani Womenswear Spring/Summer 2015 show.
Use the fine tip to apply eye tint to line eyes, or to create more precise looks. Using the flat side, apply eye shadow all over the lid, blending with an eye shadow brush or fingers to achieve your desired look.
Packaging: At first glance, you might think this is a lip gloss tube, but no, this is a very innovative product which is basically a cream shadow. This eye tint comes in a plastic tube with a doe-foot applicator which is very easy to use to deposit color.
I love the texture of these shadows. They are basically a cream-to-powder formula, but they are so smooth, creamy, and insanely pigmented. I just deposit some amount on my lid and use my finger to blend out the shade. It does not apply unevenly or patchy, instead it is a smooth gorgeous color. In my EOTD, I have created the whole look using just my fingers. You could of course easily use any brush to blend this too. It is also so easy to blend one shade into the next with a smooth flawless transition.
Pigmentation and Shade: I was blown away at how pigmented these shadows are. They go on super opaque and the color is easily buildable. You can do one coat and wait for it to dry which takes about 10 seconds or less and then apply a second for absolute opaque color. The shade “Green Iron” is a very beautiful olive green color. It has a lot of shimmer in it which gives it a beautiful gleam on the eyes. The shimmer is not gritty and does not cause any fall out as they are suspended in the cream. I got this particular shade as lately I have been fascinated with creating colorful eye looks and feel like green shades really complement my brown eyes.
Staying Power: Absolutely fantastic. It does not crease at all. It does not smudge, does not feel sticky or tacky and stays on till the end of the day which is about 8-9 hours for me.
Overall, this product is a makeup lovers dream come true. Now, I am truly regretting my decision about picking just two and I will be hauling more of these in the near future. They are very expensive, but so worth the price in my opinion. I cannot recommend these enough.
In the EOTD:
I have used “Green Iron” in the inner 2/3rd of the eye and Senso on the outer corner and blended into the crease using my fingertips. Applied some eyeliner and mascara. The whole look literally was done under 2 minutes.
