Maybelline Dream Pure 8 in 1 BB Cream for Oily Skin Review

Just few questions, before I start my review. Post the advent of BB and CC creams, how many of you have shifted from foundation to these creams? How many of you have preferred for a ‘kind of’ natural look compared a little cakey and ‘made up’ effect? How many of you have appreciated a simple layer on the skin enhancing your tone?

Well, this is not about any ‘anti-foundation campaign’ but just a small celebration of the onset of lovely BB creams in the makeup world. Almost every brand has introduced good range of BB creams and I am totally in love with them. They even out your skin tone cover up blemishes up to an extent and gives lighter coverage to your face.

Finding any particular cosmetic product for a particular skin type is more than just a task. It is good that so many brands are available in the market to choose from but on the other side they literally confuse me with their range!

Honestly, I was never fond of foundation. I have an oily skin and I was really scouting for a good BB cream for my daily routine. I have tried Nivea tinted moisturising cream last year and up to an extent I was pretty satisfied with the result. However, I wanted to climb one more step and purchased Nivea BB Cream. But hey, candidly that experience was nothing to boast about. It left my skin pretty dry and post that, I encountered Maybelline which vaunts a BB Cream for oily skin. After using the tester, I instantly purchased the medium shade of the range andnd here is the review.

Maybelline Medium Shade 120 Dream Pure BB is specially formulated for oily skin and is figuratively known as 8-in-1 BB cream. It is a 30 ml tube comprising of salicylic acid which helps to enhance the texture and provides healthy looking skin. One added advantage is that it comes with SPF 15 offering good protection to the skin.

My Experience with Maybelline Dream Pure 8 in 1 BB Cream for Oily Skin:

Maybelline Dream Pure BB Cream medium is a light cocoa shade more inclined towards sheer mud hues, which is ideal for Indian skin tones.  I have an oily skin but thankfully, I do not suffer with blemishes, so my main objective of this purchase was to maintain an oil free skin and lock my pores. And yes, it perfectly does the job. This cream effortlessly absorbs into the skin and does not make skin oily, shiny or greasy throughout the day. It definitely brightens the complexion and much effective and better than tinted moisturizing cream.

It is really light weight and has creamy and fluid consistency. As this beauty balm skin clearing solution is an oil free formula, it works to clarify the skin’s appearance and run even coverage to cover blemish skin.It is designed to conceal imperfections, minimizes the appearance of redness and pores. It definitely smoothens the skin and enhances the skin texture. So basically, the features of the cream do work!

Any negatives? Well, this does not fix all our skin problems in one shot! It does not not completely hide skin’s flaws and flaunts a completely clean and clear surface, but for the price we pay, its quality, efficiency and workability is splendid!  For folks who do not like foundation, this is undeniably a try.

All splendours with oily skin should definitely try this at least once. Well, this will easily last me for 2-3 months and for experimenting I may scout for other brands.
