I’ve been very happy with Revlon Powder Blush in Tawny Peach and have used it a lot recently. My love for it made me purchase another powder blush shade from Revlon. This time, I got their light pink shade, the Softspoken Pink. Read on to see how it fares.

My Take on Revlon Powder Blush in Softspoken Pink:
Revlon Softspoken Pink Powder Blush comes in square, black plastic compact. I like that most part of the lid cover is transparent, that it shows the blush inside. I like such packaging most especially for products I come to love and collect. At one glance, I can see what I want to use.
Inside is a mirror at half the size of the lid. It comes with a small brush too. This is very convenient to bring for touch ups because it is all there. The mirror and brush and it is compact as well.
The brand name is engraved on the blush itself. It looks rose pink in the pan but appears light pink when already applied on cheeks. Its pinkness is very suitable for work, for school and for everyday as it is soft and very feminine. In my opinion, this kind of pink can go well with wide age range and skin tone. It has satin finish to it that gives low shine and subtle glow on cheeks.
Like the Tawny Peach shade, this Softspoken Pink blush is almost impossible to overdo. Even though this is sheer, it is buildable. I remember the first time I tried this with the free brush that comes in the compact, it did not show up on my skin well. I tried using Marrionaud Slanted Blush Brush which is a bigger brush and love how it gave a nice color in less strokes. So if you think color does not show up well on your skin using this blusher, I suggest you try a bigger brush.
It can be a con for others, but to me, I like sheer but buildable blushers. I like how I can control the color on my cheeks with this Revlon blush. I favor this kind of blush on over those richly pigmented ones that need the lightest touch of brush to give the right amount color on cheeks.
For reference, I am in NC25-30 tone and I need to dust few layers of this blush on my cheeks to achieve lovely pink color. Among the few pink blushers I’ve accumulated, this Revlon blush is the one that comes closest to my Clinique Blush in Fig Shade! They both gave that almost similar cherub pink color on cheeks. Clinique is better of course as it shows up easily on skin and it lasts longer.
Revlon Softspoken Pink Powder Blush – What I Like:
- -Convenient packaging.
- -Simple soft pink color.
- -Didn’t cause irritations. Didn’t cause break outs.
- -It is almost impossible to overdo. I need up to 3 layers for color to be visible.
- -Satin finish that give skin subtle glow.
- -The botanical complex ingredients.
Revlon Softspoken Pink Powder Blush – What I Don’t Like:
-It lasts only for 3 hours on cheeks.
-Probable thumbs down for others: Needs to dust few layers for color to show up.
I like that this comes close to my favorite Clinique blush on in terms of color and finish. I am glad I was able to find an affordable version of an expensive Clinique blush. But of course, if budget permits, I’ll get the latter.
I’ll give it 4/5 rating.
Always wear beauty!
