Rice and Sugar Foot Scrub: Do It Yourself
Hello everyone!
Winters are pretty long here *happy dance* enjoying the bearable cold these days. Coming to today’s post, the background is that I have developed pretty embarrassing feet in the last 5 months. I keep walking on marble floor and get very less time to do pedicure etc. Also, I haven’t spotted my HG foot scrub so far. Hollywood style scrub is too coarse and Freeman’s is too gentle; so finally I decided to make it on my own. I have used it four times (one pedicure per weekend), and found it good enough to share with you all. Let’s make it:
-
- 3 tablespoons rice or rice floor.
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar.
- 1 table spoon olive oil or almond oil.
- 1-1.5 table spoon coarse sugar.
- Mixing bowl and spoon.
First, if you are taking whole rice, then grind it to a fine powder as much as possible. I usually take rice flour now, but the first time, I also started with grinding rice myself on a trial basis for this homemade scrub. Take the rice powder in a mixing bowl and add apple cider vinegar.
(I have kept the option of replacing apple cider vinegar with lemon juice for those who don’t have apple cider vinegar handy). Simultaneously, add olive oil and then add sugar, mix and see the consistency of the mixture; if it is very thick, add ice cold water to it.
The scrub is ready here, but while making the scrub, start preparing hot water bath for your feet. Soak in your feet in warm water (added with a shampoo or foot soak) for 10 minutes, clean a bit with foot brush, and then apply the scrub. Message the scrub for 5 minutes and wash your feet and use pumice stone for heels. After that, dry your feet and moisturize. Your simple and easy pedicure is done.
Just one thing to note, make sure to use the scrub immediately after preparation as the sugar will start to dissolve slowly.
Results:
This scrub not only removes dead skin from the feet, but also from the heels. The sugar and rice do the scrubbing job very well for cuticles and dead skin on heels. Apple cider vinegar cleans the dirt from feet and removes bacteria and olive oil provides harsh rubbing during scrubbing process. The rice also brightens the skin. Overall, it leaves the feet clean and fresh.

Bdw i have a question related to dat oil wala post
can i use that oil for overnite oiling process
also do we have to shake the bottel before evry use
does that require a very strong sunlight
1. yes you can use it overnight Samreen if only you can bear the coconut fragrance because i can’t! i also always have been confused whether to keep oil overnight or two hours and even after thorough search, i havent found any authenticity to any of these opinions.
2. no…you don’t need to shake it and neither very strong sunlight required….
