How to Choose Earrings for Face Shape

Earrings are women’s favourite and most noticeable statement accessory. They are one of the oldest forms of jewellery that women wear to exemplify beauty. You will find various designs in the market today like small, long, antics, colourful, hoops, chandeliers, etc.

Proper earrings can not only make a female look more beautiful, but also have the function of accommodating defects. In this article I will go through some points that might help you to decide, what are the best earrings to wear, and which are the absolute ones to avoid?

Your face shape determines what will look good on you.

People with square face shape, forehead, jawline and chin are about the same width, have various options, they can choose from dapper stud earrings, long drop earrings or exaggerated earrings to look striking.

If your face is about as wide as it is long with greatest width at the cheeks then you have a round face shape. Avoid wearing hoop and stud earrings until and unless you want to look chubby than usual. Stick with simple, long shapes to add some edge to your face. Avoid earrings with too much volume as such earrings will accentuate the roundness of your face even more.

Oval faced beauties, forehead is same width as cheeks with a narrower chin, can wear almost anything that does not go past their chin as length can make your face appear longer than usual.

If your forehead is wider than your cheeks but narrow at the chin then you have a heart shape. Opt for earrings with more detailing at the bottom of the design than at the top so that the weight and detail on the bottom of the earring can balance your small chin.

For the oblong face, you face is narrow and appears too long. To best balance out this face shape, choose hoop earrings or anything that will add width to your face to make it appear fuller.

Also remember:

• Don’t let your earrings compete with your necklace! If you’re wearing larger earrings, choose a more delicate necklace and vice versa.

• Go for short earrings if you have to wear them on a daily basis. Reserve your fancy long earrings for parties, they will surely capture the attention of all.

• Women with short neck should stay miles away from large creole earrings, otherwise, it will make their silhouette look shorter. Jaw length designs are a best choice for them.

So what are you waiting for? Just remember these tips and grab your favourite stylish earrings and glam up your personality within seconds.
