How to Apply Foundation using Flat Top Kabuki Brush / Sigma F 80
This tutorial was requested by Nupur. Hope you find it useful. 
I have already applied moisturiser and primer on my face.
I am using Make Up For Ever HD Foundation. Review HERE
Dot your face with the foundation either using your fingers or a regular foundation brush. If you are using your fingers, do sanitize your hands. I love to use my clean fingers.
Dot the foundation and blend it outwards.
I don’t APPLY foundation directly with the Flat top kabuki brush. one because it drinks up a lot of foundation when used directly and second, it becomes really a task to clean up the brush.
I use it mainly to make my foundation flawless and I love it that way.
Damp your flat top kabuki with some rose water. Just a spritz . You just have to damp it not wet it.
Move your brush in circular motion and keep moving your brush lightly in small circles. This would add a little glow to your face and make your foundation totally flawless.
Your foundation application ends here. I am just taking the tutorial step further. If you like dewy makeup, this mighty help
Apply concealer wherever required and blend with a fluffy eyeshadow brush.
Apply cream blush. Dot it upward towards the temple and blend. Use Q tips to pick up creamy products.
Coming to the highlight. I am using MAC Cream Colorbase Hush. Love it. Review HERE You may also use Revlon Skinlights. Review HERE
Apply it in the bridge of the nose. If you have a flat nose, this is an awesome way to make your nose look sharper.
Dot the highlighter downwards on the bridge of the nose and move your finger up and down to blend it.
Now make a small “C” starting from top of your blush and going towards the browbone.
Blend using clean fingers.
You can also highlight the center of your forehead.
Also apply some highlighter on your cupid’s bow go get that lovely pout.
You definitely would have to set your makeup with powder. If it was winters , I would have skipped using powder . Also because I have dry skin.
Just roll the brush on your skin rather than swiping it. if not, just dab the brush on your face. Swiping would take away the glow and would disturb the texture of the products you have used already. So either dab or roll!
Keeping my eye makeup simple with just kajal and mascara.
Fill in your brows with matte dark brown eyeshadow.
Apply lipstick. I am using Revlon Colorburst Peach here.
Done!

You have naturally gorgeous skin, if I were you I wouldn’t even bother with foundation, just tinted moisturizer. But I have to ask- do you use cotton buds every time u apply cream blush and highlighter? Isn’t that a bit wasteful especially if you’re going to blend with your fingers anyway? Just a thought..
sara i like to use cotton buds for all my creamy products.. my fingers are not always clean so I dont like to take chance of contaminating my products. i use a lot of tissues also while doing my makeup.

actually me tried some Lotus makeup swift concealer and then set it with Lakme perfect radiance around my eye area…now after sometime i accidentally rubbed the area..and saw some of it got transferred to my hand…uhm are all foundation/concealer products do like that…or am i doing something wrong…??? its usual question dont worry , i apply makeup at weddings and when i wipe my face*every minute* it comes of and i am left with no makeup on

it’s the product pooja. some products are transferable and when you apply creamy products no, you have to set them either with loose powder or setting powder. I dont think lakme compact is giving enough setting to your creamy products. or if you are using too much product then also such things happen. apply less product and set. then see how it works.

Kabuki brush and stippling brush are same or different?
ayee dee- kajal is the mac feline kohl pencil.
Kabuki and stippling brushes are the different. stippling brushes are fibre optic brushes and they give a flawless / almost airbrushed finish to the foundation. Kabuki brushes are mostly synthetic hair brushes and they can be used for applying powder foundation / mineral foundation etc. they are super soft and they dont move the texture of your cream blushes or foundation.

i have been looking for a highlighter and contemplated on a couple of products from Oriflame too but i think after reading this tutorial the Revlon Highligts is an excellent option.
P.S – last night went out for a party and i tried one of the eyeshadow things after going thru’ the steps in one of the tutes and it came out really well :thanks: :thanks: . I was wearing a blue top with blue jeans and i did a green eyeliner from faces (Forest green) with a light blue shadow. thought it would be too dramatic but was pretty nice infact. 3 hrs later also it was doing fine. End of the evening when i was returning (abt 5 hrs later) some of it was gone. did not use a primer so that was the problem.
