Oriflame Aloe Vera & Arnica Soothing Toner Review

CTM – cleansing, toning, moisturizing. This is a process that if religiously followed gives great results and keeps the skin healthy in the long run. I have always had doubts regarding the use of toner in skin care regime, but apparently, toner removes any residual greasiness still left on the skin after cleansing. Toner also closes the pores, stimulates circulation, and gives the skin a porcelain-like quality.

ORIFLAME ALOE VERA AND ARNICA SOOTHING TONER

I have had no problems with finding good cleansers and moisturizers (Clean and Clear and now Oriflame), but I have had a bad run with toners. I have oily skin, so whenever I have used alcoholic based ones (which most toners have), it made my skin more oily. Ayur toner was the worst one, which stung and irritated my skin badly. Nivea Visage toner was okay, but it’s not easy to find nowadays. I also used the Avon toner, but even that seems to have a bit of an alcoholic content and caused stinging.

In the oriflame catalogue, I found this Arnica and Aloe Vera Soothing Toner, which is alcohol free. I ordered it and I am reviewing it here.

WHAT THE LABEL CLAIMS:

Soothing alcohol-free toner with organic aloe vera and arnica extract.

HOW TO USE:

Apply with cotton pad. Suitable for sensitive skin.

KEY INGREDIENTS:

Aqua, Propylene Glycol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Glycerin, PHE-Noxyethanol, Sodium Citrate, Methyl Paraben, Allantoin, Parfum, Lactic Acid, Propylparaben, Aloe Barbadensis Extract, Ethylparaben, Arnica Montana Extract, Potassium Sorbate, and Sodium Benzoate.

PRICE: Rs. 259 for 150 mL.

THE IMPORTANCE OF ARNICA IN COSMETIC USE:

Arnica

Arnica (Arnica montana) has been used for medicinal purposes since the 1500s and remains popular today. Applied topically as a cream, ointment, liniment, salve, or tincture, Europeans and Native Americans have used arnica to soothe muscle aches, reduce inflammation, and heal wounds.

MY TAKE ON ORIFLAME ALOE VERA AND ARNICA SOOTHING TONER:

Oriflame arnica toner

This light minty green colour liquid comes in a 150 mL plastic bottle and has a very very mild perfume. Some toners, which have alcohol in them have pungent strong odour, but since this hasn’t any alcohol, it is mild. I used this toner after cleansing my skin. The way I apply it is, I take it on to a cotton ball and apply it in the upwards direction. It does not cause any burning, stinging, or irritation on the skin. I can see the toning effect almost immediately with the pore size reduced effectively. I have used it before wearing foundation and it does not cause any greasiness for quite a few hours. With this, I am following my CTM routine religiously without skipping the toning part.

PROS OF ORIFLAME ALOE VERA AND ARNICA SOOTHING TONER:

  • Alcohol free toner.
  • Does not cause stinging, burning, redness of the skin.
  • Noticeable toning effect.
  • Suitable for sensitive skin and oily skin.
  • When compared to Ayur, Nivea, and Avon toners, this is the best one.

CONS OF ORIFLAME ALOE VERA AND ARNICA SOOTHING TONER:

  • Price maybe a bit expensive, but since the catalogue regularly puts it in the offer zone, it’s a good buy.

WILL I PURCHASE IT AGAIN: Yes because it is alcohol free.

IMBB STAR RATING: :-* :-* :-* :-* , -1 for the price.
