The spring season has been lovely and the busy routine has kept me away from IMBB, but I am trying to get back soon. I am enjoying using lip glosses, liquid lipsticks and lip creams a lot these days. This liquid lipstick had been with me all the time since past two weeks. Find out whether I like it or whether I am trying to finish it soon 😛

Product Description: 

Lip therapy is here. Intensive hydrating agents along with natural pigments leave lips with long-lasting colour and moisture. This luscious liquid lipstick creates wearable colour that flatters a multitude of skin tones and looks.  Available in 11 shades.

Ingredients:

Paraffinum Liquidum, Polybutene, Silica, Synthetic Beeswax, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Propylparaben. May Contain: Iron Oxides(CI 77499), Red No. 7 Calcium Lake(CI 15850:1), Red No. 6 Barium Lake(CI 15850:2), Blue No.1 Aluminum Lake(CI 42090:2), Red No.40 Aluminum Lake(CI 16035), Red No.27 Aluminum Lake(CI 45410:2).

Directions For Use:

To activate, twist pen 10-20 times or until colour is seen. Layer on colour. Re-apply anytime. For best results, use a lip balm underneath.

My Views on ELF Luscious Liquid Lipstick – Brownie Points:

The packaging claims it to be a long-lasting color, which hydrates and smoothes lips.  The Luscious Liquid Lipstick comes in a card box. The pen has an applicator on top with tiny holes in a flower pattern to dispense the product. The application is really very effortless and quick.  A very ideal and appropriate amount of product is dispensed each time you twist the pen. The cap closes tightly, making it fit to carry around without the slightest fear of messing in the purse.

Texture: The liquid lipstick is just like a lip gloss in texture, slightly thicker than lip glosses. It has literally microscopic sized golden sparkles. A very smooth and moisturizing formula.  In terms of hydration, it is a sure winner. Keeps lips soft and moisturised from the moment you apply it and stays longer than any lip balm.

Colour: The shade belongs to the family of browns with tiny golden sparkles. The brown shade doesn’t add much of a look to my face but still, the glossy finish with minute sparkles adds freshness to my overall look.

Pigmentation and Finish:  The pigmentation is decent in this shade. The coverage is sheer and it finishes with a lustrous finish. It smells exactly like mint candy; the moment you apply it, it starts transferring a cooling effect to lips which lasts for about 15 minutes. It is not sticky.

Staying Power: The lustrous shine stays for three plus hours with water/tea intake. It transfers a bit to the cups and glasses.

• I dislike the cooling part.
• The mint scent may be a turn off for some of you.
