Hi IMBB Gang,
How are you all? Enjoying the cool weather? Today, I am here with my favorite Garnier Fructis shampoo. I had mentioned earlier that I am not going to replace my Sleek and Shine Shampoo unless I get another best option, and I got that option. Finally breaking the suspense dearies, Garnier launched the “Pure Clean” series with No dye, No parabens and No Silicones. Please read on further to know my experience with the product.
$ 2.96 for 13 fl oz bottle.
Garnier Fructis Pure Clean 2 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner for Normal Hair:
- Pure, fresh formula provides ultimate daily refreshment with no residue.
- Breakthrough clear formula delicately removes impurities and lightly conditions.
- Hair is stronger, healthier and so much shinier.
- Acerola Berry Anti-oxidant.
It comes in the usual transparent green flip top bottle but this time the cap is white. The fluid is transparent and runny in nature, but smells fruity and great.
Let’s talk about Acerola Briefly: Acerola is a nutrient rich food that provides one of the greatest sources of vitamin C. It is usually harvested while it is still green, as that is when its vitamin content is highest. This fruit also supplies minerals such as magnesium and potassium, along with many of the B vitamins. The high vitamin C content of acerola is responsible for the majority of its benefits. The provitamin A content of acerola strengthens the cell protective benefits of the fruit, which come mostly from the antioxidant properties of Vitamin C. Both of these vitamins together help to scavenge free radicals that cause oxidative damage to the skin and cells. The aging process can be slowed down in body by continued use of berry.
My Experience with Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Fortifying Shampoo+Conditioner:
You might have guessed why I am so gung-ho about it. Well, I was searching for a good shampoo for my friend, who landed here just one week back. I finally got someone here to finally sit and talk with other than my hubby 😛 While searching, I came across this label “Acerola berry. No Dye, Parabens, Silicones,” and I grabbed two bottles. She was also happy to get everything without going through the trial and error phase unlike me. When we landed here, we used to rely upon the trial and error method for almost every purchase, be it for the kitchen, body care or anything else. Anyway, I was really super excited to get it and didn’t even check if its for my type of hair or not!
When I used the shampoo, it was different only fragrant wise. It was really a fruity smell, may be due to Acerola berry. Else, I felt the same rich lather on hair that rinsed off early. My hair felt clean, soft, and silky. Thankfully, my hair responded positively because normally during winters, my hair becomes slightly oily and the skin becomes a little dry, strange, isn’t it? Since this product also contains conditioner, I didn’t feel the need of using a separate conditioner. I am using this twice a week and it has been one month now. My hair has become manageable, soft, light, and shiny. I have also noticed less hair fall. It does not leave any heavy residue on hair unlike other shampoos. Moreover, I am happy that at least my favorite Garnier is free of harmful chemicals out of the list mentioned in one post of IMBB. A big thanks to IMBB for that info and inspiring me to go for this!
Let’s sum up the pros and cons:
Pros of Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Fortifying Shampoo+Conditioner:
- It can be used daily without any noticeable hair fall or dry scalp.
- Its 92% biodegradable and free from dye, parabens and silicones.
- A 2-in-1 product with shampoo and conditioner together.
- It does not leave any heavy film or residue on the hair.
- It contains Acerola berry, an anti-oxidant which is rich in vitamins and minerals.
- It has a great fruity smell.
- Its best for all hair types, if it suits my frizzy yet oily hair, then it can suit any type of hair.
- Its really cheap.
Cons of Garnier Fructis Pure Clean Fortifying Shampoo+Conditioner:
- May or may not be available in India.
- It now needs to be sulphate free and then it will be an ultimate hit.
Overall, I would say that I love touching my hair after washing them with this shampoo+conditioner. My final verdict is that I am not going to replace it because I know I am not going to get such an affordable and hair friendly product anywhere, it gets full marks from me.
On a different note, adding a pic of my Thanksgiving weekend at San Francisco Bay Bridge and Golden Gate Bridge. Hope you enjoyed my post 🙂
