Homemade Oil Control Face Pack For Oily Skin: Do It Yourself

Hello Ladies,

For all you oily-skinned beauties, here is a DIY Homemade Oil Control Face mask using Besan and Orange peel.

Ingredients:

Homemade+Oil+Control+Face+Pack+For+Oily+Skin+Do+It+Yourself

  • 1 tbsp of besan.
  • 1/2 tbsp of orange peel powder.
  • A pinch of haldi/turmeric.
  • 1 tsp of honey.
  • Milk.

Method:

Save orange peels and dry them in the sun or keep in the refrigerator for a day or two. When they are hard, make a powder of them in the blender.

Orange Peel Powder

Take besan and the orange peel powder. Mix them with honey and enough milk to make a thick paste.

Orange peel powder turmeric

Apply on face and keep until dry which will take about 15-20 minutes.  You will feel a stretch in your skin from the besan and some tingling because of the high content of vitamin C in the orange peel.

Turmeric face pack

Wash off and apply an oil-free moisturizer. With a few uses of this pack, you will see the oiliness of your skin considerably reduced and you will get glowing radiant skin.

Orange face pack

This pack will be great for upcoming summer months where facial skin tends to get greasy and icky.

Benefits:

Gram flour is the best facial product, it acts as a natural cleanser. It goes deep into skin and removes the dirt, excess oil and dead cells from the skin and tightens the skin.

The orange peels soak up excess oil and bacteria from your pores, in turn minimizing acne breakouts. The orange peel powder is a gentle exfoliator for your skin as well, gently sloughing away dead skin cells (cellular build-up) that clog your pores. Your skin will feel healthier and look refreshed and glowing as well.

Milk is great for your skin because it will leave your skin glowing due to the low amount of acidity in it, which will restore your natural pH balance. It’s also great for adding hydration to the skin and is great for soothing sunburns or irritated skin.  Turmeric will brighten your skin immensely and leave your skin looking radiant and glowing. It helps skin heal as well honey contains numerous anti-microbial properties and is a natural antioxidant. Honey fights microbial infections that cause acne without irritating your skin.

  1. Face pack for my skin type *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* *happy dance* Neha, can I use curd instead of milk 🙂

      1. Yeah, gulab gel is a good option Rama….thanks….but you know curd+besan+turmeric has always worked for me, strangely *haan ji*

  2. Can the besan be substituted with anything else? Oatmeal perhaps? I am highly allergic to raw besan! *cry*

      1. I get rashes and my skin becomes itchy, my eyes become red and watery, my nose waters and I sneeze continuously. After a couple of hours of torture, it subsides on its own, but once I actually had to take medication. Am even allergic to besan in food especially if it isn’t cooked properly. Causes the insides of my mouth to get horribly itchy! My family used to joke that I can be used as a guinea pig to test whether the besan is cooked well or not! *headbang*

    1. This face pack can be super drying..so to combat that i used milk..but it can be substituted with rose water

  3. i do agree wit rama..milk makes my skin feel greasy..i prefer curd, rose water or lemonjuice *announce* *clap* *hifive* *happydance*

  4. Great DIY Neha *woot* i think i will try this but before that i need to do that whole thing with the orange peel *hifive* but i am getting bored… ill tell mom to do it and ill apply and relax lol *happy dance* *happy dance*
