Innisfree is essentially one of my most favourite brands ever. I obviously could not resist myself when they launched these “Color Clay Masks.” I picked up the yellow variant called “Brightening.” Here is the detailed review:

My Experience with Innisfree Jeju Volcanic Color Clay Mask Brightening:
This range from Innisfree offers various masks for the multi-masking purpose and each mask comes packaged in a color-coded tube. The ‘Brightening’ mask comes in a yellow tube. This tube is pretty easy to use but make sure you squeeze out the product carefully to avoid wastage. The tube packaging is definitely better than tub packaging since it is hygienic. The tube comes packaged in a cardboard outer packaging which contains all information about the product. Overall, I don’t have any issue with the packaging. It is basic but functional.
As per the brand, this mask has “water gel clay.” Hence, the mask is very lightweight and spreads easily. It is thin and easy to apply. You are supposed to keep the mask on for just 10 minutes and it actually dries pretty quickly. Sometimes, it dries completely even before the ten-minute mark. Since this is thin, you don’t need a lot of product at once. Hence, this 70 ml tube will last long, which makes it economical. The mask is pretty easy to wash off too. I use warm water and it removes the mask pretty easily. Just like any other clay mask, this one too requires extra water but that’s okay with me.
This mask cleanses the skin from deep within. Like, my skin actually feels and looks super fresh once I wash this mask off. My skin is on the dry side, but this clay mask doesn’t dry it out further. My skin doesn’t feel dry or stretchy after using this product, but I always follow up with my regular toning and moisturising routine. It also makes my skin softer and my skin feels fresh for a couple of days. It’s super hot in Delhi right now and I do not sweat crazily and I think I can give credits to this mask.
But, what about the main claim of this mask? Does it really ‘brighten up’ my skin? Well, sadly, it doesn’t. It works just like any other clay mask. It just cleanses the skin deeply and helps in controlling sebum to an extent. I’ve been using this mask ever since it was launched and have not noticed any brightness or glow. Yes, my skin looks cleaner and I have not developed any blackheads but there is no brightness.
I like “Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask” better because it not only cleanses the skin but shrinks my pores too. Overall, this is not the perfect mask if you want to brighten up your skin. It just cleanses skin well and leaves it super fresh. It is perfect for summers as it calms the skin too. If you already have a favorite clay mask, you don’t have to try this one. Go for it only if you have never tried a clay mask and wish to try an affordable one.
