LA Colors Baked Eyeshadow in Nebula

This again is a part of my US haul and I am reviewing the stuff as and when I am confident that I have used them enough. I don’t have a single baked eyeshadow and as far as I know, these can be used dry or wet and are better pigmented when used wet and do not budge and last longer then too.  The very first ones I had seen like these, I remember is Bourjois and I had found it too expensive, but definitely smooth and pigmented.  You can say this quad is a cheaper but good enough version of those Bourjois ones and I am happy at this find as it turned out to be much better than I had hoped for especially considering the price of 3$!

LA Colors Eyeshadow

So, I just got the safest shade with browns and peaches, so that I end up using it and not just hoarding it. I love shimmer, frost, pearl eyeshadows and this one is all-in-one 😛 It is high shimmer, metallic sheen and shimmer when blended, and totally brightens up a dull day and a dull eye.

LA Colors

This one is a baked eyeshadow and hence can be used wet too with a wet eyeshadow brush (if I am not mistaken).  The colors are dome shaped and that means the only shadow you get is that dome that you see on top and nothing under (yes I learnt it the hard way, my baby dropped it and the dome came off and there was just hard base under it), considering that the shadows are definitely less in quantity and very usable and I can finish them and not keep them for years.

swatches

The four colors are all decent to wear and are very high sheen and metallic and as you try to blend them, they turn all shimmery. So, I like to pat them best and try them wet (no not my favourite style), but wet stays more and longer and the fallout is less and the shimmer stays put and does not go here and there.

swatches on hand

When used dry, you do have to load the brush with these to get some and the texture of the shadow is coarse to feel because of all the shimmer in it.  It can get difficult to blend, although these don’t set, but when you blend, there is shimmer on the entire lid.  It does not go on smooth, but I love how the pigmented color shows up on the lids.  The colors are very pigmented and I am glad how they look and they do stay for a very decent four hours without base on my oily lids.

The colors in here are very similar to each other with just one dark that can be used to contour, one is a true peach, then a nude beige shimmer, a true rust, and a dark brownish purple. I love all the four, they are really pigmented and metallic in finish.

The applicator is tiny and tough to handle and is snugly taped in the section (which I like).  The sponge tip is very firm  and nice and not like those loose rough sponges.

Last Word:

Four pretty pigmented shimmer colors; rust , nude, peach and purple in 3$ is a steal. Its cruelty free and it is definitely worth hoarding more of these.  I am very happy with the pigmentation and the staying power and the choice of wearable colors in this. What more, its cruelty free and has a shelf life of 36 months.  I will totally recommend it! (I broke this one later and the dome part came off and that’s the only shadow you get and its getting difficult to use, so be wary of dropping it).

Rating:

4. 2 (will definitely get more from the US).
