COLORBAR = TRIPLE ACT COMPACT

Hello ladies…
This is my first ever purchase from COLORBAR and I am more than happy with it… I hade seen many good reviews about this brand, so wanted to try something. I found one colorbar counter today outside pantaloons in metro walk mall. The SA was a very sweet lady, guided me well with the entire range and applied the triple act compact on my face. I asked her if I could wait and see how it looks on my face after settling a bit. I took good 2 hours in the mall. The shade applied on my face matched perfectly to my skin tone. MY face looked clear, fresh & the finish was smooth and oil free. The feel was not heavy at all, and it even covered my acne scars. I grabbed the triple act compact immediately. :)

My experience with Colorbar Triple Act Compact

This 3 in 1 concealer, foundation and compact is a one-step makeup. I just dot it over my entire face and then blend it with the sponge which is included in the package. The Triple Act Compact Powder covers my acne scars, spots and blemishes, gives a glowing complexion and a smooth and oil-free finish, all this without a very heavy feel on the face. In fact it gives a very natural look as if I am not wearing any make up at all. I have used it for 4 days now and it has not broken me at all. :)

What I liked about the triple act compact

  • Gives a very smooth finish to the skin
  • Blends easily in a jiffy , without much effort
  • The price is extremely economical considering the quantity and quality
  • Covers acne scars, spots , blemishes and even dark circles completely and there is absolutely no need of using a concealer additionally
  • Oil free, non comedogenic -did not break me out at all
  • The package contains a mirror and sponge for blending so you don’t need to buy one separately.

The only thing I didn’t like much is the simple, silver coloured plastic packaging, which is actually not much of an issue though. Also, the product may not go along well with dry skin beauties.. Other than this I am absolutely In awe of this product at the moment.

Will I buy it again?
Ofcourse , Undoubtedly I will once I am done with this.. will easily last me for 3-4 months even if I use it on daily basis.

Nice review Noopur. :waytogo: I have oily skin with mild acne scarring too. I was looking for a compact and this is a great option! Thanks for the review!
Just to confirm- does it say non-comodogenic on the packaging? My skin breaks out very easily with anything which is not oil free and I don’t want to take a chance.

i tried this product a long time back and it broke me out badly! then my mother tried it and she broke out too!
it’s quite thick and i guess takes a long while to get off the skin!

the similar kind of product is Revlon new complexion One step compact make up the SA at the shop tried convince me much that its oil free non comodogenic etc but i was scared bz of my acne skin so was looking out for a genuine review of the same …. i guess this time i’ll try it on face and would roam around in the mall for 2 hrs like u did that way will save myself from acne disaster :P …and then would review it :)

nice review …

i recently got it in “sand” color… im very disappointed…..the sales girl insisted me so much that it will suit my skin but it did not….it suited my cheeks well but i have darkness around my mouth chin and jaw area (half of the face). it looks cakey and im sad that 375 rs got wasted…. what should i do? shall i take it back to them and ask for a refund?

Reply

supriya May 15, 2011 at 1:54 pm

you can blend this on freshly moisturised skin and blend. also scrape some of this and mix with some talc and apply.. in india they do not really refund if you bought a wrong shade..

does this work well as a concealor too? i have dark circles under my eyes ( really big dark circles) :reallyangry: does anybody use it as a concealor too? i agree with nupur that its v. affordable… my sis got one for herself.

Rati August 20, 2011 at 9:31 pm

surbhi you would have to use a concealer and for extra coverage you can set it with powder. :)

I own the same in sand colour and it sucks.
It has a horrible smell , is thick and cakey and gives an absolute unreal white-ness to face.
The applicator is stiff and feels like its scratching my face.
I regret buying it and wasting money on it :(

This will be way better than the lakme abolute wet and dry cause however much absolute may have flattering yellow tones , in the summers , the yellow pigments dissolve leaving an intense white cast on your face , (so it lives up to his claims in a very unrequired way rofl ).plus it cost 575 bucks. I`ll get this one – i like their concealer stick in almond , and this would me a great daily wear stuff. (PS kryolan requires lots of blending and isnt fitting into my 2 min routine in the morn before college XD ) great review ^_^
