Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation Review
By Eakta Dave
All day flawless coverage, lasting power of primer, coverage of a concealer, and blend ability of a foundation. It is a 3-in-1 foundation. It has 1 FL OZ which is a lot and you only need one pump for a medium coverage, so it will last a long time! This foundation is definitely a medium coverage but it can be buildable to a full coverage foundation without it feeling heavy on the skin or looking too cakey. The one thing that I like about this foundation is the fact that it was in a pump and not many drugstore foundations have pumps. The consistency is very thick, but is very bendable. One thing that I have seen is that finding shades with this foundation is very hard and it had taken me two tries to get the right color for my skin. It does have a slight pink tone to it, but it is what I like. Also, throughout the day of wearing it, I did come to see that it does oxidize, but not a lot, so that’s okay! I had recommended this product to a friend, but since the shades were very limited, I recommended to mix two colors together to get her perfect color and it worked! So, if you really want to try this product but cannot find your shade that is what I recommend doing!
The active ingredient in this foundation is Ensulizole 3.0% and a few of the main ingredients are Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Propylene Glycol and Talc. Because it does have Talc, it gives it a nice finish and you do not have to powder it unless you are oily. Another thing that could be taken positively is that it has SPF 20. Now that it is going to be summer time, we need to protect our skin. Having said that, this product is so amazing and the coverage is great but since it does have SPF 20, it will make your face look a bit white in photos! This foundation has a nice job of having a soft powder finish because it has the “Talc” in it!
One thing I have realized is that you hardly need concealer when using this product because the coverage can be very buildable. There are several ways to apply this foundation. One of the best ways is to get a flat top kabuki brush or a stippling brush to get a nice finish! You could also use your hands for the fullest coverage. The texture of this product is very silky and easy to work with and blend. The pigmentation of this product is fabulous. The longevity on my skin (which is a bit more on the dry side) is about 8 hours! The application of this product was easy because of the pump, there is no mess!
Right when I pumped the foundation out, it doesn’t feel too liquidy. One pump gives you a decent amount! You don’t need more than one pump for your whole face.
When the foundation is blended in and if you want to take a picture with flash, it does not look nice. This is because of the flash and since it has SPF, it shows a bit whiter than my actual skin tone.
I do love this product and recommend it to everyone! I usually wear this on special occasions and when there won’t be flash photography. I will 100% repurchase this! Also, the packaging is amazing!
