Elf Lipstick Voodoo and Charming Review, Swatches
Remember I mentioned a superb lady from imbb offered me some stuff which she could get from the US for me ? yes, these lippies part of that huge haul and yet another friend is coming from US and has offered to get some more stuff. I will also be getting stuff from Australia in December which my sister sent for me and also I did major damage in England as well of which I posted a haul :toothygrin: so u can say I am a hoarder at my best and accumulating makeup from all parts of the world and reviewing the best of all hauls for u guys. Mmm even the worst perhaps sometimes so that u steer clear of that product.but except online shopping, I carefully select shades so there would be lesser mistakes. But this time it was online from the elf website and yet I am happy with purchase. Specially since these are just a dollar!!!!!!
Elf lipsticks from the essential line are nice and simple and harmless to throw even if u dislike something.the essential line is just a $ as you all know and has the following colors in lipstick to offer which imo are very less but well thought of as some colors can really be a steal.The shades are :

- Seductive
- Gyspsy
- Voodoo
- Posh
Yeah a limited choice I know, but I picked up a light pink and deep maroon kind of shades.the lipsticks are nice and a full tube for a dollar which makes it difficult to finish. Both the sahdes are thick and matte with no gloss no shimmer no frost or glaze. I would say flat colors and ot really creamy or full of bursts of moisture or anything but very thick and are quite pigmented as you can see in two swipes in the pictures. The colors are true to the one in the tube and deliver a lot of color just in one swipe.They packing is sturdy nothing great but nothing to dislike either and I like how I can see the color in between the tube due to the transparent slot in the middle.the stickers at the base are so tiny but considering I have just two of these I don’t really have hard time selecting the shade which is also anyways visible in the centre of the tube. So far so good but now here is the catch.it is fragranced! I don’t like fragrances lippies and this one smells like a mix of bubblegum and rose I think . Though it is not over the top and not very mild either It fades away in sometime so I would pass it if I really like a color. I can compare the intensity of the smell to lakme enrich range :haanji:
Charming is a very pretty thick pink color and is like a very wearable pink and not like some washed out or baby pink . I love this shade and It looks really nice and softens the face. Its thick and almost matte and though not very moisturising it is comfortable to wear.
Voodoo is a darker deeper color which can be called a lighter maroon.it is very comparable to Colorbar desire from the velvet matte range. Voodoo may look even prettier on darker skin and it looks nice and not ott on Indian skin I think. This color too is flat, no gloss no shimmer, no frost and quite matte and thick. My favourite way of wearing these are to mix them like so, voodoo one swipe and then charming one swipe and then just blot with tissue and line the lips mildly to avoid bleeding. Staying power is good too as these are thick and fade away into a beautiful lighter color. It did not dry my lips.

Hi Neha, Nope I haven’t lost any weight. Maybe the makeup, becoz it was done for me on my birthday by my friend who is a beauty expert/hair stylist. :))

Gosh you really are the lipstick expert…not jealous of your hauls cos it means I get to see so much! Dont think either of those shades are in my comfort zone, but they are pretty still!
