E.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
E.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder($3) is a very popular product from ELF. It is said to be the dupe of Nars Orgasm and Laguna set. It is so popular that it is usually out of stock, I didn’t get it the first time I ordered from E.L.F., only got it when it was back in stock much later. It’s a very pretty duo, with a peachy shimmer blush on one side and a bronzy shimmer bronzing powder on the other side.
As stated on their website-
Create a healthy and natural glow all year long. The Blush highlights the cheeks to add a flush of color, while the Bronzer accents and contours cheekbones for beautiful definition.
Brush on the “bronze” to the hollow of the cheeks for definition and dust around the face line to create a healthy glow. Use the “blush” on the apple of the cheeks to create a subtle healthy glow.
Talc, Mica, Magnesium Stearate, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Paraffinium Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Sodium Dehydroacetate, Iron Oxides (CI 77491 CI 77492 CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77981), Red No.40 Lake (CI 16035), Ultramarine Blue (CI 77007)
The approximate size of the box is the rather large and contains enough blush/bronzer to last for a decent amount of time. The packaging is a copy of Nars products except the material which is hard plastic in this case rather than the soft material used by Nars. It’s nice and sturdy and sleek. It has a nice big mirror so its handy to put it in the purse.
The quality of the blush and bronzer is decent. Of course compared to my Nars blush it is chalky but still much better compared to all good drugstore brands. I don’t own Nars Orgasm, so I don’t know if its the exact dupe, but it looks pretty close, some say this one has less shimmer. Both the blush and the bronzer are very pigmented. I love the blush very much. I am not a shimmer person so I only occasionally wear it but its really very pretty.
The quality of the bronzer is nice, but the bronzer is not a natural enough color for me for contouring, so I don’t use it. But it will definitely suit a lot of Indian skin tones.
To sum it up-
Pros of E.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
-Decent amount of product for the price.
-Color buildable-you could go very sheer to pretty nice blushed look.
-Big nice mirror.
Cons of E.l.f. Studio Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder
-Very pigmented, might look too dark if not blended well.
-Requires a good blush brush for application.
I loved this blush. Its a nice color that looks very natural when blended well. The bronzer will also suit many Indian complexions. For only $3, this very nice looking compact was a definite steal. In my opinion this is a must have from ELF, at this price you can not go wrong!
