Brushes play a very important role to keep the makeup in place. I recently spotted this one from Essence and since it is 2 in 1, I decided to pick it up. Today’s review is all about Essence 2in1 Colour Correcting and Contouring Brush. Read on to know more.

My Experience with Essence 2in1 Colour Correcting and Contouring Brush:

The brush comes in a small plastic pouch, which is sleek. The pouch can be used to store other brushes too while carrying. There is a cardboard strip that contains all information about the product. The package is not sealed, but it has a flap that keeps the pack from not opening. The brush has both plastic and metal. The center plastic has a tribal design. The sides have steel holdings. The design is nice. The steel holding is good and is easy to hold while application.

The brush has 2 ends. One side for colour correcting and other one can be used for contouring. The bristles are teal and white in color. The bristles are soft and dense. They are well packed and do not fall out while application. Since there are brushes on either side, you cannot keep it vertical in a brush holder. It has to be kept horizontal in a drawer always. The brush is also easy to wash and you can use a brush cleaner or use soap and water. once dry, the brushes retain their own shape. There is no fall out of bristles when washed.

The short bristled brush has to be used to apply concealer. The product works great for spot correcting and not to be used under eye concealer. If used under eye, I have seen that it doesn’t blend well and causes creases and streaks. The brush is very small and this is not great for concealing on a larger part of the skin. For covering smaller spots, the brush can be very effective. The larger brush can be used for contouring. However, like the other side, it cannot be used for blending. This brush can be used for drawing the lines to sculpt the face. I also use this brush for eye makeup application. The brush picks up the product effectively, but it doesn’t retain it on the brush. There will be a lot of fall out. Overall, it is a good 2 in 1 brush but not a must have product.
