I have bought loads of nail polishes on behalf of IMBB. Out of the brands I have tried, I have found Maybelline Colorama to have a vast variety of shades from different color families. The Colorama range has a lot of finishes, shimmer, glossy, sheer and unlike the Lakme True Wear range, the shades are not limited to the red and maroon color families. There are a whole lot of shades from pastels to bridal red and this range does have neon colors like yellow, orange, and green. I had picked up a total of 21 shades from Maybelline Colorama. There are no NOTDs for this set of nail polishes. Do tell me which shade you liked the best, but before, that, some product description from the Maybelline website.
Why You Will Love Maybelline Colorama:
High-gloss nail color with 5 day wear! Combine a visually stunning palette of pigments, pearls and glitters. It’s the ultimate accessory that transforms your look from day to night, fun to funky and classic to daring…in a flash!
With one sweep, paint the first line of nail polish up the center of your nail starting from the base to the tip. For the cleanest look, be sure to leave a small space at the base of the nail. Then apply color to the rest of the nail with additional sweeps of polish on each side of the original line. Let your nails dry before applying a second coat.
Rs. 90 per 8 ml of bottle.
This range of nail polishes have versatile colors and the staying power is quite good, matches up to the nail polishes that I picked up for Rs. 220. It does chip within 2 days, but then most of the nail polishes I have tried do, so no complaints there. One unique factor about this range is that each nail paint has an unique and complex name!
Let’s start now:
This is a milky lilac shade that is a bit less viscous than the other nail paints from this range. Two complete coats are needed for it to solid up on the nails.
Its a true yellow colour. Its bright, lively, and shows its yellowness in one coat itself. If you are into water marbling, you wouldn’t want to miss picking up this colour.
This is a dark red thick viscous nail paint that will show up lovely in one coat itself.
Avela is a dull “I-don’t-know-what-shade” thick viscous colour that shows up on the nails in a single coat.
A true black colour with thick viscosity, shows up good in one coat itself.
Brillo is a clear top coat liquid that brings a bit of a glossy finish.
A dark and rich maroon shade with thick viscosity. One coat is enough to bring up the colour, two shades would darken it up.
Coral Chic is a lovely coral pink shade with mobile shimmer in it. It does not show up well with one coat, though two coats look lovely. Must-have shades for those who love pastels because this is a subtle shade.
A beautiful pink colour that every diva must get. Both one and two coats do justice to the colour.
Lots of mobile silver glitter in this one. You can wear this over the dull shades and it will give them life.
A bridal red shade with no glitter or shimmer.
An orange shade with no shimmer, comes up well in one coat.
A navy blue thick viscous nail paint with no shimmer or glitter. Not one of my favourites.
A pastel shade with thick viscosity with no shimmer.
A dark shade with no shimmer, comes up in one coat itself.
A pearly white shade that shows up well with only two coats.
A purple shade with a bit of shimmer, one coat brings up the colour on the nails.
A dark red-maroon shade with not much of a lustre or sheen.
Verde Palmeria is a leafy green shade with no shimmer or glitter.
This is again a bridal red colour with nice lustre.
A grape toned shade with a hint of shimmer.
Another dark burgundy shade with no shimmer or glitter.
