Khadi Smooth and Silk Hair Serum Review

Khadi Smooth and Silk Hair Serum

Hi Friends,

Today, I will be reviewing Khadi Smooth and Silk Hair Serum. I have very long hair and it was quite healthy until I started using chemical treatments like rebonding a few years ago. Now, I try to maintain my hair without any chemical treatments and look out for good hair products.

I saw Khadi products on my visit to Bombay store and brought the Khadi smooth and silk hair serum. Here is the review.

What the Company Says About the Hair Serum:

Khadi smooth and silk hair serum for dull and dry hair with oil of Jojoba and Almond. The serum is non-sticky. The oil of jojoba gives shine, luster and bounce to the hair, thus ensuring tangle free hair. Almond oil being a complete diet for hair reduces hairfall. Protects hair from UV Rays and prevents split ends. Excellent for dull and dry hair.

Directions to Use:

Wash your hair with a shampoo. Rinse, clean and apply few drops on the wet and dry hair.

My Experience using Khadi Smooth and Silk Hair Serum:

The Khadi smooth and silk hair serum is a light non-sticky fluid, which consists of natural ingredients like jojoba oil, almond oil and arnica. The packaging is a see-through bottle with an easy black flip-top cap. The consistency is very watery though. One bottle would last for quite a long time. I do not use it on my scalp as it has silicon fluid. I just rub some amount on my palms and apply it on the length of the hair. The serum gives instant shine to my hair. Just a little amount of the product would be sufficient to make my hair tangle free and it becomes manageable. My hair is smooth and soft after using the serum. Since I did not have much split ends when I started using this product, I cannot comment on how effective it is to prevent split ends. The serum has a very mild fragrance. What I did not like about the serum is that it makes my hair look a little oily inspite of using a tiny amount. Well, this may be quite obvious since it is an oil-based product. The serum contains silicone fluid which is said to leave a residue on hair. So, it is not advisable to use this everyday. I use it once or twice in a week.

been trying to replace my John Freida serum – just cant get myself to. its my one and only love for my hair, an esp frizzy and dry one.

had tried Toni and Guy and Loreal – the latter does nothing to my hair 😐 avoided Shwarzkopf as it had parabens.
guess i can give this one a try!

Rati – vella as in time pass? or Wella 🙂 and is there any serum without silicon? 😮

  5. Thanks for the review Vidya. :thanks: I use Loreal smooth intense sometimes and it works for me. I do not have many flyaways or frizzy hair ever since i got my hair rebonded. i use it only when i feel my hair really lacks shine or feels rough.
Btw yesterday i tried the Dove Intense repair treatment mask yesterday..and it worked so awesome on my hair…they are soooooo silky silky that i can’t help but keep running my hands through my hair.. 😀 😀 One of my colleagues asked if i got a hair spa done. :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

    1. I have decided not to get my hair rebonded again Aditi! whenever I see someone with sleep hair I convince myself not to go for it  my hair is quite good naturally, but love to have super straight hair
