Revlon MoistureStay Lipcolor Strawberry 52 Review

Hello people!

I am going to review a pretty pink lip color by Revlon today. So, all you pink-loving girls, sit up and listen .
Typically, I am not a whimsical buyer and think about the shade I want and need. I have a single digit number of lipsticks in my kitty, which have been purchased after a certain amount of research. As I get better at recognizing shades that suit me, I am transitioning slowly to the pick-up-lipstick-in–five-minutes stage!! I tell you, it is a wonderful stage to be in and almost like a reward for knowing your colors well. :)

Revlon Moisturestay lipcolor Lipstick shade Strawberry 52

About The Product:

This sleek looking lipcolor is a part of Revlon MoistureStay collection. It is a pinky-beige lipstick that I bought in my quest for a ‘my lips but better’ color.

This is a very easy and user-friendly lipcolor. The shape is such that it is like painting your lips with a precise brush or pencil. It is creamy and moisturizing, but not so much so that you are always scared of the lipstick breaking off. Texture is amazing and creamy. It just goes and sits on your lips as comfortably as one sits on a bean bag.

I really like this packaging and would love to see more lipsticks like these.

Second

This shade will suit fair, medium-fair, medium, medium-dark complexions. It is a versatile shade in the sense that it can be toned down if you find it too pink. Like what I typically do is blot it with a tissue and apply some clear gloss and this becomes a great pink color for day wear. You can also apply it at night since the color is nice and bright and it will go very well for any kind of contrasts. I feel if you pair this particular shade with pink, whether in makeup or in clothes, it will make you look like a Barbie in a bad way .

Fifth
It is a fresh lipstick and gives a cool sensation every time I wear it. It’s like I brushed my teeth again and I feel all fresh and dressed up. The finish of this lipcolor is creamy matte, certainly not a glossy baby, this one. No funny shimmers or anything; just a nice, versatile color that can be worn to office as well as in the evenings. I love the fact that it is long lasting and yet moisturizing.

Price and Quantity:

I purchased this for Rs.500-600 last year and quantity is pretty good. Look at how long it is . :)

This summer I have barely used this shade because I primarily went out during the day and found it a little too bright during the day. But, I was just being paranoid. It is a shade that brightens up my face and this review just reminded me that I should wear it more often. However, it is definitely not an MLBB color if that is what you are looking for. When you wear this, you are officially wearing a proper lipstick, if you know what I mean.

Pros of Revlon MoistureStay Lipcolor Strawberry 52:

1. I love its texture and finish; it is matte creamy.
2. I like the minty fresh scent.
3. It is quite long lasting.
4. The color is beautiful, comes in many other colors as well. If you don’t like this color, I am sure you will find something nice
5. I trust Revlon products in general and their lip products are my favorite. This one added to the list.

Cons of Revlon MoistureStay Lipcolor Strawberry 52:

I find this shade a little too bright, I may be wrong.

Would I Recommend It?

Totally.

Would I Purchase It Again:

Hmmm……the same shade, am not sure. I’m an MLBB gal, so I gravitate towards less bright shades. Let me use it this winters and then take a call.

The shade looks so pretty! I’d used one of these lipsticks for my school farewell..its has a cooling minty sensation on the lips. Too bad I was not into makeup so much then, don’t even remember the shade now :P
