Apple cider vinegar has loads of antibacterial and antiseptic properties. Malic and lactic acids are found in the vinegar are known to soften and exfoliate your skin and hence, can treat your acne effectively. It can also reverse the damage and helps in maintaining the pH balance of your skin. When used in a diluted form, the apple cider vinegar’s acidity will balance your skin and hence, it will destroy the bacteria. Apple Cider Vinegar should not be applied directly to the face. If you do not dilute it with water, it can result in skin burns. Do a patch test on your neck and leave it for a minimum of 15 minutes to make sure there is no irritation.
3. Baking Soda Face Mask:
The baking soda face mask is an excellent homemade remedy as it has mild antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties which aid in the prevention of acne. To use this mask, you need to mix 2 tablespoons of baking soda with 2 tablespoons of plain water. Add the water gradually as you want to make a creamy paste and not liquidy. Apply this paste all over your clean face and massage in gentle circular motions for about 10 minutes. Once the mask dries, you can rinse off with warm water. Follow-up with a toner and a moisturiser. Limit the usage of this mask to 2 times a week to see the best results.
