I have always wanted to try colored eye pencils, but never got the courage to actually buy one. Hence, I thought I will buy a color which is not too bright and see how it looks on me. So, I bought Bourjois Khol and Contour Eye Pencil in Bleu Virtuose.
Intense colour up to 16Hrs! Enriched with pure pigments, this kohl allows for an intense result from the very first stroke and lasts up to 16 hours. Its soft and blendable formula is ideal to apply both on the inner and outer rims of the eye. Hypoallergenic, with natural wax and vitamin E, it is gentle on the delicate eye contour area. Available in 7 shades.
It is dark blue in color. In one stroke itself, you can get an intense blue line. It can be swiped 2 to 3 times to give you more color. The texture is very smooth and glides easily on the lids without tugging at it. It can be used on the water line safely. Please check below the swatch on hand.
My Experience with Bourjois Khol and Contour Eye Pencil in Bleu Virtuose:
This is one of the best eye pencils I have come across and that too at a reasonable price. It is completely smudge proof and does not fade for a long long time. Below is a picture to show you how it looks on me. Even though it is blue in color, it is not a very bright blue which was just what I wanted.
Although the blue color on the lower waterline fades away after an hour or so, the eyeliner on the top lid stays without fading or smudging from morning till evening.
Pros of Bourjois Khol and Contour Eye Pencil in Bleu Virtuose:
- Glides on smoothly and gives intense color in one sweep itself.
- Totally smudge proof.
- Does not fade from morning till evening.
- Hypoallergenic with natural wax and vitamin E.
- Can be safely used on the water line also.
- Ophthalmologically tested, safe for contact lens wearers too.
- Reasonable price for such a great pencil.
- Easily blendable and can be used to create smokey eyes.
- Easy to remove.
Cons of Bourjois Khol and Contour Eye Pencil in Bleu Virtuose:
I don’t want to give this one any cons, but yeah, it would have been good if it was a twist pencil and there was no need to sharpen it.
I got another pencil free with this one. I will just show the pictures and tell you all about it in one line. DO NOT buy this. It is called “Colorexciting eye liner.” The color pay off is very very less with some shimmer particles. You have to swipe it about 6 to 7 times to get some color on the eyelids. Then also, it looks very faint and almost like an eyeshadow. I am not sure if other colors in this range are also like this one, but this color is definitely a no-no.
IMBB Rating for Khol and Contour Eye Pencil in Bleu Virtuose:
Will I Repurchase Bourjois Khol and Contour Eye Pencil in Bleu Virtuose?
Yes, I now want to buy some brighter colors and yes, I will buy their black color for sure. All you girls who have started venturing into colored pencils should definitely try this color and the rest of you should definitely get the black one.
