Garnier Skin Naturals Nourishing Cold Cream

Hi Ladies,

A Very Happy New Year to all of you. Wishing you loads of happiness, prosperity, beauty and makeup.  Well, the product I am going to review today was a gift from my friend for Christmas – the Garnier kit which had Garnier Body Cocoon and Garnier Skin Naturals Nourishing Cold Cream – Moisturising and Protective Care.  I saw the price of the kit was Rs. 175.  The cold cream was a freebie in the duo. I will be reviewing the Garnier Skin Naturals Nourishing cold cream –Moisturising and Protective Care today.

Garnier Skin Naturals Nourishing Cold Cream

Product Description:

This nourishing cream works for 24 hours to nourish and protect skin against dryness. Intensively moisturizing, it makes skin soft and immediately soothes any feelings of discomfort or tightness. Unique formula that contains natural active ingredients such as 100% pure accacia honey, known for its hydro-fixating properties, to help maintain the skin’s moisture.

How To Use:

Apply twice daily on the whole face, on perfectly cleansed skin. Avoid eye area.

Price:

I am not sure as this was the freebie in the pack, but the other Garnier Cold Cream (moisturizing + anti-tightening)  is Rs. 130 for 40 gm.

My Take on Garnier Skin Naturals Nourishing Cold Cream:

Well, all I could think and imagine of cold creams till now was the Pond’s cold cream or the Nivea cold cream in a round steel box and how much I used to hate the oiliness and the weird smell that it had, it still gives me nightmares.  Whenever I used to apply cold cream, my face used to look like a frying pan with so much of oil.  I had stopped using cold creams long ago for the same reason. I was managing with the regular moisturizing creams in winters though it required frequent touch-ups and a must-have thing in my handbag.

My perspective of the cold creams changed when I used this Garnier Cold Cream.  The bottle is a beautiful green-coloured one with a white cap (must say that I love the colours of their bottles).  The cream has the regular fragrance of the Garnier creams, which is mild and nice.

The texture of the cream white and thick. The same when applied gets quickly absorbed and does not leave the oiliness on my face. I must say that it keeps me moisturized throughout the day and I don’t require any touch-ups at all.  I am quite satisfied with this cold cream both texture-wise and fragrance-wise and I am really thankful to my dear friend for having introduced such a nice product to me. I just love it.

Pros of Garnier Skin Naturals Nourishing Cold Cream:

  • Moisturizes perfectly and is apt for winters.
  • Mild fragrance.
  • Does not make your face oily.
  • Thick and creamy consistency.
  • Spreads easily unlike some matte creams which are hard to spread.

Cons of Garnier Skin Naturals Nourishing Cold Cream:

  • Would have been great if it was available in a tube form with a flip cap.
  • I am not too sure of the availability as yet because the green-coloured bottles available in the market says – Garnier Nourishing Cold Cream – Moisturising + Anti-tightening.  So, don’t know if they are different products at all or just a change in name.

i have been using this cream for about 6 yrs now n always liked it. what i do is mix the cream with a little of aloe vera/ cucumber gel, that way it spreads even more nicely n gives better results. N garnier’s shampoo were disappointing but i really like their skin products, sply this cream and daily moisturiser n night cream, if i ever feel the product will mk my skin a little oily, i just go mix it with the gel. Nice review :)
