Korres Eye Pencil in Brown Review

Hi All,

Korres is an all-time hit brand on IMBB and I am in love with it. More for the fact that it makes its products without parabens and most of other chemicals. Lately, I have been trying my hands at eye products. So, in the near future, I would review a few eye make up products. Today’s review is also about an eye pencil from Korres.

Approximately $12

Ingredients:

100% natural base with herbs and vitamins.

My Take on Korres Eye Pencil in Brown:

The pencil is in brown color. The color is lovely and would suit everyone in my opinion. It is pigmented but not as pigmented as the Colorbar or Faces ones.  I just love the way it is easy to glide on. It just walks on itself on the eyelids :D

It is a brown color which is strictly a brown color. It is not reddish or orangish brown, it is a proper brown color! The only problem is that on my oily eye lids, it does not stay for long. It fades very fast, in like 1 or 2 hours, that is the only con of this beautiful pencil.

Also, with some reading, I have learnt that products with natural or rather more of natural ingredients do not stay for long and often do not give much color. A natural ingredient without any chemical backing is more prone to perishing and thus creases, fades, loses, expires earlier than a chemical laden product.

So while I review this eye pencil, I am keeping this newly acquired knowledge in mind and that is the reason despite its high price and low staying power, I am still going ga-ga over it!  The packaging is sleek and the pencil is very convenient to use. It glides on smoothly and you do not have to apply any pressure on the eyelids. Just move it and it gives lovely color.

I think since I have very oily eyelids, maybe that is why it fades fast on me. Women who have dry eyelids may be able to carry it on for longer hours.

Pros of Korres Eye Pencil in Brown:

  • Awesome color.
  • No irritation to the eyes, whatsoever.
  • Glides on smoothly.
  • Very easy to use.
  • Lovely packaging.

Cons of Korres Eye Pencil in Brown:

  • Does not stay on for long.
  • Not very pigmented.
  • Since it does not stay for long on my oily eye lids, I now find it a little expensive as well :(

Overall Recommendation:

You know the cons and you know the pros as well, take your call. But given that it is more of a natural product and is free from harmful chemicals, I give a green signal to it! :D

I am loving Brown eye liners a lott but definitely not the one that smudge and fade… Faces Solid Brown and Metal Brown eye pencil are best when it comes to affordability and quality.. Korres has a chemical free formula is good but I would expect better staying..
Thanks for the review Surabhi.. :)

Yeah, I’m liking brown eyeliners lately too. Especially on the lower lash line, they look more natural. Too bad we don’t get Faces here :|

Hey Devie.. ya brown liners give a lovely natural looking color to eyes.. I am wearing L’Oreal Super Liner (Gel Liner) in Brown today and totally adore the way it look on my eyes.. Which is your fav brown liner dear?

I like Urban Decay in Bourbon, MAC Teddy and Make Up For Ever 2L. Haven’t tried L’Oreal gel liner, does it work well? I prefer gels to liquid and pencils, less pressure on eyelids!

Yeah guys..

I know it has poor staying power and fades away very quickly.. though being natural is the best part about it but I also like FACES over Korres eye pencils now :D
