Lotus Herbals Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation

My first ever foundation, yes the first one! I was so scared of foundation until I joined IMBB! Foundation always meant mud on face for me because I did not know that foundation shade should match the skin color. Thanks to everybody here, now I know.

Lotus Herbals Pure Radiance Matte Glow Daily Foundation

I felt Lotus is the best one for me to give a trial. Once I am comfortable with the application, I can always move on to more sophisticated foundations available. Thus the review, Lotus Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation – Fresh Ivory 350.

Price and Quantity:

Rs. 175 for 25 ml.

What Lotus Herbals Claims about the Product

Lotus Pure Radiance

My Experience with the Product

Lotus Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation comes with SPF 20 in a sleek translucent tube-like package. The consistency is just right for blending well. The texture is truly matte and gives a soft finish to the skin. I used Lakme Radiance compact in Natural Marble over the foundation. Everything was perfectly intact on my face for day long. Above all, it did not harm my sensitive skin.

The company claims that the ingredients are botanical extracts. This is an added bonus to the product.

I have a few moles like marks on my nose. These marks were not fully covered. So, I believe the coverage is medium.

Experts, who have been using foundations, will not have trouble in blending this oil-free foundation. I mix this foundation with a little moisturizing cream before I even it out on my face.

On the whole, I am completely satisfied with the usage of Lotus Pure Radiance Matte-Glow Daily Foundation SPF 20. I am happy to find the shade that matches my skin tone.

foundation swatch

There are 3 shades Fresh Ivory, Soft Beige and Caramel. Also, there is Light reflexion version of these shades, which has lot of shimmers in it. Fresh Ivory is the lightest shade, followed by Soft Beige, and Caramel is the darkest shade.

Nice review, Chand! This looks really nice to start out with! I don’t use foundation yet. That doesn’t mean my skin is even; infact, it is far from it!
I might pick this up if I decide to start using foundation!
Thanks!

waterbased? now am looking forward to get my hands on one of these 😀 yeah its probably light to medium coverage – consistency`s pretty thin – which isnt bad at all for indian summers  the shade selection could be a prob – i`d repeat a ques someone asked – does any of the shades have a yellowish undertone to it?

Reply

Chand October 27, 2011 at 9:38 am

oh…..yeah… Fresh Ivory is a pink undertone. Soft Beige is a yellow undertone. Caramel.!!!! I cannot guess….the undertone is very strong in caramel.. I guess caramel is also yellow (not sure 🙁 )…

Nice Review Chand, i like this foundation for daily use espl to office..
And i mix it with moisturizer too..
The one problem i found is without moisturizer it tends to dry up fast before i can even it out.. but best thing i like about this is the combination of Light reflection plus SPF!
So i get to avoid sticky sunscreens :yahoo:
