How are you all? It’s summer time and going out without proper sun protection is like tormenting yourself. I ran out of my favorite Lotus sunscreen, which is the only one I have used till date, so when I went to repurchase that, guess what? I ended up buying a few additional products! One of them is this eye liner from Coloressence. I do not own a single blue liquid liner or any liquid liner, I’ve always used my mom’s 😛 and so I bought this one to try out. Let’s find out whether it is a hit or a miss!
My Experience with Coloressence Supreme Eyeliner in Duke Blue:
Packaging: This eye liner comes housed in a cardboard package. The back side of the cardboard displays the relevant information about the product. The front is color coded, but who keeps the cardboard anyway? The sticker at the bottom doesn’t reveal the color, so spotting it is a bit difficult especially when you don’t own any other product from this brand. The bottle seems a bit big than your regular bottled liquid liners. The tip of the applicator is pretty long and the liquid settles into a matte finish. I like the applicator and the ease with which I can work with it.
Color/Pigmentation: I couldn’t swatch this at the store because I was in a hurry. But once I got back home, I swatched it and instantly fell in love with its color. The color is the one I desired for so long. It is similar to Coloressence Eye pencil in Dark Blue. But my happiness was short lived. It immediately dried to a different blue. The kind of blue, schools have as uniform. It was a fine color but not the one I expected. It is pigmented for sure. It has a pearly effect to it, which goes unnoticed when applied on the eyes.
Texture: It dries pretty fast to a matte finish and glides on easily. But, it isn’t smudge proof or water resistant as it claims. When it scatters, the glitter spreads. The funny part is when you apply it, you cannot even see the glitter! Don’t they test the product before launching it? The claims are all lies! The only truth is it doesn’t flake, but who cares when you liner smudges so easily! :/ Maybe use it on your eyes for blending this liner for a subtle blue eye look? :p
Staying Power: It smudges. It isn’t water resistant. Do you expect it to stay longer? Another lie- ‘Lasts all day’. Truth-‘Lasts all of 2-3 hours’ and that too if you do not accidently rub your eyes, which most of the people do.
Let’s sum up the pros and cons of Coloressence Supreme Eye Liner in Duke Blue:
Pros of Coloressence Supreme Eyeliner in Duke Blue:
- Pretty Blue
- Settles to a matte finish
- Claims to have Almond oil and natural carbon and marine pigments
- Applicator is easy to work with
Cons of Coloressence Supreme Eyeliner in Duke Blue:
- Isn’t water resistant
- Not at all long lasting
- No mention of shade name on the product
3 / 5
It’s a miss for me. I do not recommend it to anyone. I think Elle 18 eye liners work much better than these.

I had this one in black and did not like it that much. This bluish one looks cool but as it is not water-resistant, would skip this! Lovely review, Priyanka 🙂
Thank you Arpita! This is my first and last eye liner from this line! :p
