These days I am digging in cream blushes. First the weather is getting pleasant and second I feel cream blushes look more natural than powder blushes. the only challenge is to get the same amount of blush on both cheeks. πŸ˜›

What I love about NYX Cream Blush:

  • It’s a very soft cream blush that glides on your cheeks easily.
  • It’s a buildable blush so it’s easier to work with. Mostly cream blushes are very pigmented so you tend to go over board with them. I don’t face such problem with NYX cream blush.
  • It never felt any irritation after using it.
  • The colour Natural is a peachy pink colour that gives a very natural blush on your cheeks. Although I feel this wouldn’t be a suitable colour for people with dark complexions.
  • It doesn’t give greasy oily look to my cheeks.
  • It stays on all day long on me. I have dry skin.
  • You get a lot of blush in the pan.
  • Little goes a long way.
  • It goes evenly on cheeks and even after hours of application it doesn’t look patchy.
  • You have lots of blushΒ  shades to choose from. Check HERE

The only thing that I don’t like about NYX Rouge Cream Blush is the packaging. I hate dipping my fingers in the blush. So I pick up some product from the Q Tip , dot it on my cheeks and blend it upward and outward.

And here is how it looks on me . I wonder if you can see it also. It looks pretty natural. Like my natural blush.

I am completely loving the NYX cream blush in Natural and if I get a chance, I don’t mind picking up other shades as well. πŸ™‚

I just think that it might not be a great product for people with oily skin because it was way too creamy.Β  May be you would have to prep and prime your skin properly to make it work for you.

  2. Hi Rati,
1 common thing i’v noticed since last few days in ur reviews.
whenever u review a product the comments n compleiments r for smthng else. for example, ur lip color, hair n cheeks, earings etc.
which is good coz ppl r noticing ur whole look not only the result of the product reviewed.
U r looking beautiful (as always), but i personally prefer when ur hair is open n not tied.

  3. wow liking the blush..me also thinking to switch to cream blushes. this is the most reasonable one na out of the lot?

    1. yeah Insiya. i am liking it more than the inglot blush , which is priced almost in the same range. your mufe foundation review is coming up in 2-3 days. I think i have used it enough to write about it. πŸ™‚

  4. OMG! your cheeks look so lovely! Touchwood!
Rati! I have a wedding to attend so please suggest a nice lipstick that is long lasting & will stay even after consuming some food, or could u please put this as ask IMBB question?

  5. woow…its like u read my mind…just today I was discussing abt NYX cream blushes with someone and thinking of checking it over the weekend and here is the review…Def getting this shade or maybe some other which I like lets c

    1. hey HD post the pics of the IMBB goodies you won na..i wanna see how they all look on you :-)) or did you already post it & i missed it ?:-)

    2. Insiya,

She hasn’t posted it as yet. πŸ™‚

HD yeah, the blush is really worth it. Do check out the shade. I am sure you’ll be able to get a better one. If you are looking for something a that you could wear daily to office this shade is pretty good. πŸ™‚

      1. Yeah – I used to use my mom’s MAC cream blush, before I bought my own. The texture is great, it goes on fine and its not itchy or anything. Its just instead of looking “dewy” like it would on normal or dry skin it ends up looking “chip chip” on oily skin after a while. So if you have oily skin you will get a much better finish with powder blush . Like Mickey Contractor told my mom that cream blushes just work better for older skin than on yo

And the like if you have acne then its best to just not put any blush coz it just ends up emphasising the redness of the spots anyways…….

        1. Aaahh!! I see. πŸ™‚

I saw Anjaana Anjaani today. The makeup was regular mickey contractor – brown eye shadow – mac smolder.

But the amazing thing was that in a few scenes Priyanka Chopra’s foundation was streaking on her upper lip. 😯 I was itching to blend it myself. :rotfl:

How could they not see such things?

Oh btw the movie sucked big time. It was a bad torture. :pain:

          1. Chheeeee that bad ?! I was planning to catch the DVD later – but thats coz i love making fun of bad movies πŸ˜› Had no expectation from it from the promo only …

Mickey Contractor has that one same look only – but I’ll tell you…. In My Name is Khan – there bits where Kajol’s liner would flash electric blue (but only in certain light, otherwise it looked black) and I have been obsessing over how he managed to achieve that effect – its what blue mascara looks like but on the lid as opposed to the lashes. Although I did have my suspicions that it was Blue Mascara…..

Ive been obsessing over that forever !!!!!!

            Ps – Pick Ranbir Kapoor or Imran Khan ? :-)) :-)) :-)) :-))

            1. he he I think ranbeer acts better. πŸ˜›

Oh he used an eyesahdow. i am forgetting the name of that blue eyeshadow. let me go to mac and i’ll tell you the name. He used black mascara. no blue. He plays with eye shadows and mac smolder mainly. πŸ˜›

  6. Gosh!! It looks sooooooooooper creamy and soooooooooper cute on you!! πŸ˜€ πŸ˜€ me liking it!! :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:

          1. Haven’t used it yet..lol..I am so much in louuuu with my NYX and maybelline powder blushes that I’d almost forgotten about the oriflame one!! …hmmm..now I am intrigued..What was the complain? ?:-) ?:-) ..The blush stick looked quite cute to me!! :cute: :cute:

            1. yeah I think it was sticky and the colour pay off wasn’t good. πŸ˜› you try na then tell. you might have a good experience with it. πŸ™‚

              1. okie!! O:-) O:-) What more reviews are coming on NYX? I really loved the stuff when I used them in NY!! :inlove: ..Now, I have to plan a visit to hypercity Bangalore to get them!!

  7. Heyy..
Nice review….I tried grabbing one when I was in India…Ive got Rose petal…
And Rati if possible could you do some more reviews on NYX?? πŸ™‚

  8. Awesome! Looks great on you πŸ™‚ …The texture and pigmentation is amazing too!! I think blushes from NYX are so affordable and perform as good as the MAC ones…

      1. Yeah, at the MAC store I tried on something called MAC Ladyblush cream blush, it’s EXACTLY the same as NYX Natural…Thank god I din get it!! Wil try this one instead…but MAC cream blushes are super smooth too πŸ™‚ NYX does the same job at a fraction of the cost πŸ™‚

        1. yeah you know I’d rather pick nyx over revlon. i em so sure of their quality now. πŸ™‚

oh wow!! will check lady blush at mac. i am so curious now. πŸ˜›

  9. Hi Rati, nice review…u look so gud…am learning alot from u…i like ur lip colour so much…are MAC lipglosses good?I dont like to wear a lipstick I always prefer a gloss…pls suggest

    1. Preetha,

There are different kind of glosses in MAC. I have tried MAC lipglasses. Although they are a little sticky but I do love them. they stay put for good 2-3 hours and have decent pigment. πŸ™‚

      Thank you. πŸ™‚

  10. Looooooveee the texture πŸ˜€ also i never even seen it here in koramangala but now Poormi said its at hypercity i will check Nyx next for sure

    1. Thank you, Kristie. πŸ™‚

Since winters are approaching here in India, I plan to pick a shade or two more of these. Totally enjoying using Natural. πŸ™‚

  11. Love it!! It looks soooooooo great and natural. :inlove: :inlove:
Where can i get buy Nyx in Delhi? And u know of any similar shade in powder blush.

  12. You look super cute Rati πŸ™‚ I am using a cream blush and I have to be really careful else I just apply more than required and look like a clown with pink cheeks. So for me powder blush is more comfortable and when it comes to e/s i prefer creamy ones :silly:

    1. Aarthi,

Actually most cream blushes are super pigmented so you have to be careful he he πŸ˜›

I don’t have a single cream eyeshadow. Just MUFE aqua creams that never give me any feel of cream eyeshadows. I mean I expect them to crease atleast. :silly:

  13. Rati,

your look is fresh and the blush on your cheeks is really good.
I totally totally loved your look.

What did you wear on the lower lash line?

Also, do you think maybelline mousse blush is good? I have read good reviews about it too…

  14. It looks sooo buttery… Ummm.. i can almost feel its weightlessness and it looks amazing on you babes!!! :-* :-* :-*

  15. Hey are these cream blushes suitable for oily skin? I love dthe idea of teh NYX grinding blushes..are they available in India?

  16. heyy.. erm m just starting out with makeup, i dont think i ve ever applied anything beyond gloss and kajal (sometimes) to school.. soo now that m going to turn 18 i want to begin experimenting with makeup and now that m going to begin to build my makeup kit, would you advise me to buy an expensive blush of NYX or go for the cheaper version thats the maybelline dream mousse blushes.. cuz quality is more important to me, but like for MAC cheaper versions or “dupes” like similar shades in revlon or NYX are usually available, i wouldnt mind obviosly spending less on maybelline, if it too is good and gives a natural glow..
