Anti Aging Homemade Face Pack (With Photos)

I made this anti ageing face pack for both myself and my sister in law. I have dry skin and my bhabhi has oily skin. The pack somehow worked for both of us. :)) It is a skin tightening pack. Easy peasy and prepared with only 3 things from your kitchen.

You need :

  • 2 table spoon fresh curd
  • 1 table spoon honey
  • 1/2 banana

Banana Curd Face Pack

Procedure :

Mix honey with curd.

Banana Curd Face Pack Add banana and mash it in the curd using a spoon or a fork. You can also chop the banana and then mash it.

Banana Curd Face Pack Mash. Mash!! Mash until it becomes a smooth paste.

Banana Curd Face Pack Ready!! Apply the pack for 15-20 minutes on your face and then rinse off with luke warm water. Your skin would feel tightened . Follow up with a moisturiser.

  1.   ive tried banana with honey and few drops of essential oil and few drops of lime juice in it…makes a good hair pack 2 πŸ™‚

          1. umm all depends …use from thebodyshop, nyassa, healthaid, aroma magic, aromashop, mantra and also tried BBW..
i love the ones from healthaid(uk) the best tho. πŸ™‚

                1. i think adding some cabbage juice to it is also a good idea…cos cabbage is rich in anti-aging element sulforaphane, a chemical that increases your body’s production of enzymes that disarm cell-damaging free radicals.

                    1. in a blender ..chop very finely..add some water and blend into a pulp…then strain the juice out in strainer or cloth…or if u have a juicer its easier…

  2. i was a lil curious abt the work of dahi…
i love using it on my hair..whenever use dahi pack on my hair and wash off my hair becomes silky and i get a brilliant shine…
however whn i went for a haircut just after a dahi pack and wash, the hair dresser was appalled whn he heard abt it… he was like it contains acid..! how can u use it on ur hair…plz stop doing this to ur hair …

since then im wondering abt its application on face too… sure it remoes tan and has the capacity to bleach ur face too… so would curd be harmful for hair and skin in the long run? ?:) ?:) ?:) or its better suited for face …. ?:) ?:) since we hear abt it for so many packs…. ?:) ?:)

    1. i have always heard that curd is very good for your skin and hair… taken internally or applied externally…
We use lemon (nimbu) also on your skin even though it is highly acidic but it’s a known fact that nimbu is not harmful πŸ™‚
So just relax… Curd is good for the hair as far as i know πŸ™‚

      1. hmmm but i also forgot a lot of ppl ..mostly elders have told that lemon and curd both have instant benefits but have aided in premature graying of hair too… theyr blaming it on these 2 ingredients…. hence i got thinking whn the hairdresser also added cherry on cake to this notion…

i know for one that lemon has to be diluted enough with water or other ingredients so that its ready for application… never use it concentrated… but it shudntg be used frequently ?:) ?:)

    2. Neha, I think it depends on what suits your skin and what does not. Like I cannot use anything that has besan in it , it makes my skin super dry and sometimes also makes it itchy. My friend cannot use lemon on her skin even though she has pimple free dry skin.

What about the loads of chemicals that our shampoos and conditioners have? I don’t think curd is anyway harmful. I myself used to use it for my hair (khatta dahi) and it has always helped my hair.

I have never had any issues with curd. that’s one of the regular things in my face pack. Infact, my naani survives on curd and malaai for her face and she has no major wrinkles 😐 😐

      1. k… sounds nice to hear that.. coz curd and lemon are my fave, guaranteed results wala ingredients.. oh and besan too πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

    1. i was going thru the same problem radhika… ur comment sometimes not there and when u refresh ur page it comes but this looks like another page then… (mayyyybe be due to so many comments there are diffrnt set of pages)so maybe it displays diffrnt page each time u refresh…

  3. yogurt or curd is very good for both skin and hair. I have seen results. curd even when applied to skin as it is and lightly massaged and left on for some time, takes off tan, adds glow and prepares your face for make up . sometimes I just massage curd and leave it on for sometime and then wash off before going to any party.

But effects do vary from person to person.

    1. THIS ONE IS FOR ANYONE HAVING OILY HAIR…
      Oily-Hair Mask: Lemon Yogurt
For those of you with oily hair, achieving the look you want can be tough. Use this mask once a week to soak up that stubborn oil while leaving your hair silky and shiny.

      What You Need
5 tablespoons of plain yogurt (moisturizes without oils)
1 tablespoon of baking soda (absorbs oils on your scalp)
1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice (absorb oils on your scalp)

      Directions
Mix yogurt, baking soda and fresh lemon juice in a bowl. Apply mask to hair, specifically concentrating on the roots. Leave in for 40 minutes, then rinse with water. Use the mask once a week to control your oily locks.

        1. YEAH IVE USED IT B4..EVEN ADD A LIL TO MY SHAMPOO WHEN I NEED TO USE A CLARIFYING SHAMPOO…IT REMOVES BUILD UP FROM GEL,MOUSSE,HAIR SPRAY ETC..

      1. This mask controls oily skin

The honey heals, stimulates and smooths, the yogurt gently exfoliates and cleanses while refining and tightening pores. The egg yolk and olive oil penetrate and moisturize while the oatmeal soothes…
        What do you need:

        2 tablespoons organic Honey
        1/2 Apple
        1 Egg yolk
        2 tablespoons Oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon extra virgin Olive oil
1 tablespoon Plain unflavored Yogurt, with active cultures
3-4 drops Rose or Lavender essential oil (or your sent of choice)
        Fresh Water
        How to do it:

Warm up the honey as in the basic honey face mask recipe. Mix the oatmeal with some fresh water until you get a smooth paste. Core the apple, leave the skin on and cut it in pieces. Put the apple parts together with the yogurt, honey and olive oil in a food processor and blend well

Now add the oatmeal paste, egg yolk and essential oily and mix gently until you have a smooth and uniform paste that sticks to your face without it running off

Smooth the paste gently and equally with a facial mask brush or spatula on your clean face and neck; keep the eye area clear

Now lie down, relax and leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes

Then wash it off with alternately cold and warm water and end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally apply a moisturizer, this way you “seal” your skin to keep the water inside

  4. Look for plain, unsweetened yogurt with active cultures when choosing a brand to use on your skin.

Yogurt is a good fine line smoother.the lactic acid in it sloughs off dead skin and brightens the skins appearance and smoothens fine lines..it has a similar effect to a chemical peel but not as strong..

yogurt is also good for soothing sunburn.A yogurt mask takes the sting out of sunburn. The coolness of full-fat yogurt brings down your skin’s temperature, while the fat helps soothe dry skin. Leave this mask on until the yogurt feels warm to the touch; then rinse with cool water. Reapply as needed throughout the day. Consider added a few tablespoons of aloe vera gel to this mask to enhance the skin-cooling properties.

yogurt fights blemishes.Yogurt contains zinc, which helps fight acne and has antibacterial and antifungal properties that help heal acne-stressed skin. The anti-bacterial properties likely come from the lactic acid in yogurt.Yogurt can help unclog pores, too, which keeps dirt and debris from adding more irritation

I WOULD NOT STOP USING IT FOR ALL THESE BENEFITS AND MANY MORE… πŸ™‚
