Rose and Sugar Face Scrub: Do It Yourself

I wanted to buy a face scrub for a long time, but did not have any time to move out to the cosmetic store. So, I decided to make one at home. This one that I made yesterday is really tempting and works so well for me. Read on:

Things you need:

1. Your daily face-wash: I have VLCC face wash which is creamy and soap free. So, I was sure I am not doing anything harsh to my face. Also, since this face wash suits me well, I knew the scrub would be good too.
2. One teaspoon sugar – Sugar particles are the main ingredient which makes this work as a scrub.
3. Rose petals: I have taken an Indian rose.

Method:

• Take a small amount of face wash, a little more than you take for washing your face.





• Tear the rose petals in halves if the petals are large.



• Mix the three ingredients, the scrub is ready!

Use the mixture immediately after mixing because any delay will lead to dissolving of the sugar particles and it will no more remain a scrub.

Effects:

It worked really well for me.  The scrubbing was done pretty well.  Since my face wash was a creamy one, it massaged my face with scrubbing action and did not take away my skin’s moisture.  Rose petals made the experience really soothing.  It gave my skin a healthy glow.

In short, it worked for me more than expected.

Tips:

• After, using this you could either apply a face pack or splash warm water followed by cold water for closing of the pores.
• If you find it mild, you could add grounded oats or grounded walnuts as per your choice.
• You could use the same idea for scrubbing your body. Just replace the face wash with the body wash. It will give you a divine experience, trust me.
