Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish Foundation

Hello Everyone!

Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish Foundation

This is my very first review and I’m a little scared guys! Firstly, I would like to thank Rati and Sanjeev for starting this amazing blog! It’s a healthy addiction for me and I love how it is growing with each passing day! You guys are single-handedly responsible for getting me into all things makeup and beauty! So, I’d like to thank all of you here especially, Nupur for suggesting me to review this!

P.S.: Another review for Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Air Brush Finish Foundation done a while ago is available here on our Emirati blog. Check this out.

So, the other day, I had gone to the Maybelline counter to buy the “Clear Glow” compact and the SA asked me to try this out. Initially, I was a bit skeptical.  Like many others, I too had purchased the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse (a total fail for me :headbang: ) and I thought this would be similar, but I was wrong ! The minute I felt this foundation and blended it, I realized, it was nothing like the Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse! I loved it and came back later to buy it!

Product Description:

  • Air-whipped liquid provides perfecting coverage for 100% poreless skin.
  • Ideal for normal skin.
  • Oil-free, fragrance-free, Dermatologist-tested, allergy-tested, non-comedogenic – won’t clog pores, safe for sensitive skin.

Airbrush

For Best Results:

Apply smoothly and evenly to your face and blend with your fingertips.

I got this in the shade “Nude Beige (Light 3.5)” which was a “so-so” match for my face! It provides decent coverage and covers most of my post-acne redness and all of the smaller blemishes! I use the Clear Glow powder too (again in Nude Beige) to set it if I feel my T-Zone is too shiny, otherwise I wear it alone! I have to say that I love the finish it gives, a satin-like texture.

It is lightweight and blends easily.  In fact, I would recommend this to anyone who is inexperienced with makeup since it is so easy to use! My skin is really very acne prone and somewhat sensitive too (my skin starts burning when I use certain products).  I didn’t feel any irritation at all with this foundation on and it didn’t cause any breakouts! It is nicely packed with a pump dispenser and comes in a glass bottle.  Unfortunately, it does not have a cover and I cannot carry it around.  Even then, it easily lasts for 6-8 hours and I only use the compact if required! I am in love with this product!!!

(Swatch: My hands are really tanned and this blends to a smooth finish invisible to my camera!)

Pros of Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish Foundation:

  • The finish, it’s a smooth, lightweight finish, almost satin like! The first time I tried this, I knew I had to have it. The “air brush finish” is amazing.
  • Blends like a dream! I didn’t have to use a sponge or brush!
  • It provides medium coverage that is buildable; I still use a concealer under it since I have a “LOT” of blemishes!
  • Non-comedogenic, didn’t break me out! I just clean it off thoroughly at night, no ugly zits!
  • The packaging is perfect for me! I’m not worried about dipping my hand in the tub and contaminating the entire product!
  • The price, it is budget friendly and I use just two pumps for the whole face!

Cons of Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish Foundation:

  • I wish it was more travel friendly! Apart from that, I can’t think of any! It’s a great buy!

IMBB Rating:

4/5 ! Still haven’t found my perfect shade yet!

Will I Repurchase Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Airbrush Finish Foundation?

Definitely. This is a great product, easy on the pocket and has an amazing finish. I would, however, like to try a different shade next time and will definitely try the Dream Matte Powder too!!

    1. Actually its finish is neither too dewy nor too matte! I have Combination skin so my t-zone is anyways oily!
Yes but I can’t say how it will feel on your skin!
      What is your skin type!

  9. Yesterday only i saw this at a counter…and i thought of buying it only after seeing IMBB review..infact i was about to search the reviews when i found it on the first page itself :yahoo: as you have mentioned if it works for acne prone sensitive skin..i will definitely give it a shot :yahoo:

  10. welcome to imbb ritika. sounds pretty awesome in that range. hope you find your exact match, thanks for the review. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

  11. hey does it stay for long??? coz i read other reviews of this product….it hardly stays on for 2 hours…wats ur take.???

  12. I had used tis product previously and it oxidizes too much, not a fan of tis product and the complexion shade matching is poor in tis collection, which gets worse after few hours of application Due to its oxidising nature.

  13. I have my Maybelline Airbrush and my problem with it is that after 4 hrs my face is shining because it’s oily. That’s the only problem I have with this product and the rest are good. It can hide your light pimple mark. 😀
