Pixi Eye Bright Primer Review
Long lasting, crease-proof, line filling eye primer that treats and conceals imperfections while locking in eye makeup. This advanced technology eye shade base ensures extremely long-lasting, no crease, and smooth eye makeup. This multi-tasking, light reflecting formula evens out skin tone and brightens tired eyes with its suit-all nude colour. Feels feather light on skin and helps neutralize oily eyelids. Optical pigments are added to diffuse and fill in fine lines and add a sculpted air-brushed finish.

The standard packaging of the Pixi eye bright primer (2.2gm) is like as shown in the picture below, which is a twist-up pen with a sponge tip applicator.
The one that I have (1.9 gm) was a part of Pixi Makeup Kit and has a different packaging.
It’s a small-sized plastic tube with a sponge tip wand (which is also the cap of the tube). The wand has to be used for dispensing the primer. I dot the primer all over the eye lid with this wand only and then blend with my finger.
My Experience with Pixi Eye Bright Primer:
The primer was a part of this Pixi Makeup Essentials kit I ordered online some time back. The primer is tinted like a foundation. It slightly evens out the eye area, so if you have light dark circles, you can skip the concealer and just use this. For my routine/daily eye makeup, I sometime just use this all over my lid and then apply my coloured eyeliners and this gives a neat appearance to my eye.
It is soft in texture, blends easily and does not leave any whitish cast on the eyelid.
Coming to how well it works. Firstly, I have noticed that this primer does intensify the eye shadows, makes them more vibrant. Even the sheerest of eye shadows show up well whenever I use this primer. Secondly, it does improve the staying power of your eye makeup. It hold the eye shadows, liners well and prevents smudging.
Thirdly, it slightly mattifies and controls the oil on my eyelids for about 3-4 hours. So, my eye shadows start fading lightly and creasing after about 4 hours. I won’t say I thereby dislike the primer completely, neither I can say it’s my HG eye primer. Overall, I like it for my routine eye makeup. As a beginner, you may like this primer, but I find it is slightly overpriced (at the same price, you can get a MAC Paint Pot).
Pros of Pixi Eye Bright Primer:
- Blends easily without much effort.
- Slightly tinted, so evens out the eye area.
- Improves pigmentation of eye shadows, makes them more vibrant.
- Increases staying power of eye makeup.
- Controls eye shadow creasing for about 3-4 hours.
- Decent packaging.
Cons of Pixi Eye Bright Primer:
- Nonavailability in India.

So, that was the final installment of Pixi Makeup Kit and brings an end to my Pixi series. I am glad I picked up the kit and I could try out 4 products without investing in their full-sized versions. Actually, the quantity I got in each product was just a tad bit lesser than the original products, so I have no regrets at all. The kit was definitely great value for money. Out of the 4 products that I tried, my personal favourite is Pixi Endless Silky Pen, followed by the Fair Light Eye Shadow. I like this Eye Bright Primer and the Face Primer equally.
If given a chance, I would definitely pick up their Endless Silky Pen in other shades. Apart from this, I don’t see myself picking up the other 3 products again; even though they are decent enough and I use them often.
Lastly, please don’t be offended if I don’t mention about the websites I order my stuff from. I am just a little scared of recommending online shopping websites; not that I want to keep it to myself about all the good deals available online.
