Khadi Herbal Face & Body wash Sandalwood & Honey bottle

Hello everyone. I am sending this review after a month or so as I came to my Maa’s place & had been enjoying here. Now time of returning is quite near☹. And as I saw & used few good personal care products here so thought of reviewing them too.

The first product I saw & had been using since a month is the Khadi Herbal face & Body wash. I was quite surprised to find it in Jalandhar but later got to know that my brother got it from Chandigarh along with the body lotion. :)

Claim- Sandalwood & Honey are excellent natural conditioners, and Reetha is a natural cleanser.
Ingredients- Sandalwood, Honey, Rose, Water, Reetha, Glycerine, Parabenes. Contains no artificial color.

Reetha (Sapindus Mukorossi) – a natural cleanser
Price: 120/- for 210 ML
Shelf Life of 2 yrs.
My take on the Khadi Herbal Face & Body Wash: This mild yellow coloured body wash is quite a good product. I find that the claim of Sandalwood & honey being as natural conditioners is true as after using this in this hot weather, I did not find a need to use extra moisturizer for my skin.
Consistency: – I find it more on the thicker side in texture than other shower gels so no chance of extra usage or wastage of any kind. It lathers off really well, quite a lot actually so a little product is required on the shower loofah for the body wash. And for the face wash, one requires a pea-sized amount.

Packaging: - I find the packaging quite ordinary. The clear bottle is made up of fine plastic with a black screw cap. The bottle on the whole is quite sturdy and leak proof. The cap is of flip flop kinds which I find a little hard to open. Even the top of the cap can easily come-off if more power is used in opening it.

But the product is really good to use. It has a sweet & mild sandalwood aroma. I like this 2 way use of the product- Face as well as the Body wash. And in both ways, it leaves the skin clean, soft & supple. I don’t find much dryness after its use. I have dry skin still it works very well in this harsh summer. I just use sunscreen on hands & feet before going out anywhere otherwise just nothing. But one will require a need to moisturize the skin in winters. Best part is the price. It costs just 120/- for a huge 210 ML of the product. And this much product would easily last one 3 to 4 months.

Pros of the Khadi face & Body wash:

• Great product at a very less price.
• Sweet & mild aroma.
• Good lathering power.
• Small quantity of product used at one time so it lasts quite long.
• No dryness seen on the skin after usage in this hot season.
• Sturdy & travel friendly packaging.
• A complete herbal product.

Cons of the Khadi face & Body wash:

• The cap is a little hard to open.
• Unattractive packaging.
• Availability is a problem.
• Aroma doesn’t last long.
• Contains parabenes- Parabenes are a group of chemicals used as preservatives, as well as anti-bacteria agents in shampoos, shaving & shower gels, but in these cases they only come into minor contact with the skin, and then are washed away.

Repurchase/Recommend- Definitely yes if you are looking for a cheap yet effective product & want to skip using a harsh soap on your skin. But seeing so many other great & glam products available in the market, this is supposed to take a back seat in your shopping list.

Ratings: I would rate it 3.5
