L’Oreal Paris Concentrated Lash Boosting Serum Review

Hi Beauties,

I’m going to review one of my favourite beauty products today.

L'Oreal Paris Renewal Lash Serum

I do have quite thick and long eyelashes (touchwood :haanji: ), but I believe I should make my positive features even better. Also, I do not apply mascara often, just eyeliner because of this reason. However, when I saw this product at a L’Oreal counter promising to make eyelashes stronger and thicker, I really wanted to try it. I was not really sure if this product will live up to its claims. Read below to see what happened.

Product Description:

Long, thick lashes are a must in every beauty rule book. Now, there’s no need to fake a fabulous fringe with lash extensions or clumpy mascara. L’Oréal Lash Boosting Technology will transform your natural lashes in just 4 weeks of use. With daily application of Lash Boosting Serum and Double Extend Lash Boosting Mascara lashes appear fuller, thicker, and multiplied with fewer fall-outs when removing makeup.

The results: What Women Are Already Saying (Source L’Oreal Canada website)

After 4 weeks of Double Extend Lash Boosting Mascara and Lash Boosting Serum use, women comment on their bare lashes: ** 71% say it seems I have more lashes, 75% My lashes seem thicker, 78% say I have less lash loss during makeup removal, 81% say My lashes seem to be in better condition ** Consumer findings in a 4-week daily product usage test of Double Extend Lash Boosting Mascara and twice daily usage of Lash Boosting Serum.

The Secret Ingredient:

Lashes are fairly fragile. Every time you remove eye makeup, they can easily break or fall out. Lash Boosting Technology will strengthen every lash, building resilience. The formula contains a fortifying complex of Centella Asiatica (a conditioning plant extract) and Arginine, one of the principle amino acids found in Keratin (the main component of hair and lashes) to reinforce, protect, and boost lash condition.

Key Ingredients:

  • Centella Asiatica – This plant is what we call as “Jal Brahmi.”  It commonly known as “Indian Pennywort.”
  • Arginine – one of the principal aminoacids found in Keratin.
Directions For Use:

For around-the-clock boosting benefits, apply Lash Boosting Serum during the day under the mascara and at night to bare lashes.

Lash growth booster

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Concentrated Lash Boosting Serum:

I purchased this about 5 months ago and have been using it around ever since. I use it more at night time, but sometimes, I apply it to my lashes before going to work. I used it for 10 days without seeing any difference; however, after two weeks, I felt my lashes were stronger and thicker. Additionally, lash fall out had also reduced considerably. This lash serum also works as a conditioner I would say.  My colleagues commented on how thick my eyelashes looked. I was quite surprised that the product actually worked; however, as this is more like a treatment, mascara should not be used on top of this, even if the directions suggest that. If mascara is used on top of this, it becomes clumpy.

The applicator/wand is designed perfectly to coat the upper and lower lashes. One of the problems with this product is that because the product coats the lashes, it tends to attract lint/dust particles to the lashes. I know it is weird, but if you use this during daytime, you can see small white clumps on the lashes; nothing harmful, it just looks odd. So, I prefer using this at night. The product is of transparent-to-whitish colour and has gel-like consistency.

Long

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Concentrated Lash Boosting Serum:

  • Makes lashes smoother and stronger.
  • Reduces lash fallout when removing eye makeup.
  • Serum wand is designed well to coat the upper and lower lashes.
  • Enhances the beauty of your lashes.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Concentrated Lash Boosting Serum:

  • Bit expensive.
  • Might not help if you have extremely sparse/fine lashes genetically.
  • Might not be easily available in all countries.

This is how my lashes look with just one coat of the serum.

IMBB Rating:

4.5/5

Will I Repurchase L’Oreal Paris Concentrated Lash Boosting Serum?

Yes, definitely. This product can be used for six months since opening the package.  I have already used this for five months, so I might buy a new one in a couple of months.

This is one of those lash elongating mascaras it seems – though i prefer the volume boost ones ,but it gives such a natural look ! :yahoo: I has used the maxfactor 2000 calorie mascara before – it had given a similar effect ..the lash boosting serum sounds so promising :jalwa:
