As winters are setting in or already set in most parts of the country, we all are hoarding on creams and body lotions. I am based out of a warmer region, thus, I look out for less heavier creams. So, Vaseline body spray is my current favorite. Being a spray, it is super-light and appropriate for my area. Also, it doesn’t leave the heavy feel post application. For the same reason, I also picked up “The body shop Wild Argan Oil Sublime Nourishing Whipped-lotion”. My idea of buying a whipped lotion was, it will be light on the skin. Lets see how the product fared for me!
Lightweight hydrating lotion enriched with Community Fair Trade argan oil from Morocco.
- Lightweight moisture
- Easily absorbed
- Non-greasy finish
- Leaves skin feeling softer and smoother

My Experience with The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Sublime Nourishing Whipped Body Lotion:
The packaging is typical element from The Body Shop. No complains, I like their packaging a lot. It is chic, compact and classy. The plastic is made up of good quality, pump is lockable and easy to use. But, for the first time, (I may be late in noticing this) I received an intelligent pump lock. I know that the pump has a locking facility already, but that is not 100% safe while travelling. Just in case, if it gets twisted in bag, it turns into a mess. This time, I got a genuine 100% safe pump lock. It is an extra attachment which locks the pump from pressing, even if it gets unlocked by twist. How great is that! Loved this!
Now comes the texture. Although whipped lotions are supposed to be light, I found this one is of the same consistency as other normal Body Shop lotions. It is not the thickest like some Vaseline creams for dry skin but, thicker than my expectation.
It makes the skin soft and the stickiness is minimal. Texture is smooth and spreads well. The lotion stays for long time on the skin and you don’t need to apply it again and again (at least in my region). This would definitely do better in colder areas or colder months.
Now comes the most bothersome part, which takes all the points away– the smell. It has an annoying smell, which is longlasting. I know, this is the quality of the brand which offers irresistible smelling products, but here, that is the real trouble. The smell is not likable at all. I have used other Argan Oil products, but none offered me this kind of smell. Sometimes, it reminds me of a flower like jasmine and sometimes nothing. I just want it to fade away as soon as possible. I will surely finish the product because of my respect for the brand, but I need to tolerate this constant annoying smell.
Pros of The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Sublime Nourishing Whipped Body Lotion:
- Generous quantity.
- Staying power is good.
- Fragrance stays for long (if you like the fragrance this is a pro).
- Double lock cap.
- Not very thick formula.
- Leaves skin soft and smooth.
- Non sticky.
Cons of The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Sublime Nourishing Whipped Body Lotion:
- Of course the annoying smell.
- Not actually very light.
- Not to apply on face!
IMBB Rating: 4/5
Do I Recommend The Body Shop Wild Argan Oil Sublime Nourishing Whipped Body Lotion?
I am not rating the product bad just because I did not like the smell. It stands true to its claim. Just one piece of advice; please do not buy without smelling it first.
