Boots No. 7 Rechargeable Manicure Set Review

Hi Everyone,

Boots No. 7 Rechargeable Manicure Set Review

If you can recall, I reviewed the Boots No.7 Pedicure Kit sometime back and also mentioned in that post how I wanted a manicure and pedicure set from Boots, something like this, but my friend ended up buying these electronic beauty gadgets for me :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

I sulked for weeks after receiving both of these, but then, I thought of trying them out and put them to some use, since I paid a LOT for both of these 😐

While I wasn’t really happy after using the pedicure set, the manicure set didn’t leave me “that disappointed.”  In fact, I use it more than the pedicure set. Read on to know more about it 🙂

Product Description:

  • Trim, polish and shape your nails in an instant with this dual speed tool.
  • Ideal for use on natural and acrylic nails and for pedicures too.
  • Keep the skin on your hands and feet soft and silky with the hard skin removal attachment.

What’s in the box:

  • 12 attachments.
  • Cuticle pusher.
  • No. 7 Rechargeable Manicure Set device with plug.
  • Storage box.

Price:

£34.99/Around INR 2800 🙁

The manicure set came in a pretty, purple-colored pouch and all the attachments were properly arranged in a box. When I got this, there were a lot of attachments/parts which I received, but all thanks to my maintenance , I lost most of them and only 4-5 of them are left with me 😛 But even with the parts I am left with, I can easily achieve salon-style manicure at home :haanji: :haanji:

The manicure device is very handy and the best part is that this can be recharged with an adaptor before using or you can even plug it in and use directly.  While the pedicure set needs batteries/AA power cells each time I use it, this operates on power and that’s one reason I like it more.

The speed of rotation of the attachments can also be controlled with this device.

Here is how I use it:

  • I dip my hands in soapy water for like 20-30 minutes which softens up my cuticles and skin. I follow up with a hand scrub then.
  • Next, I shape my nails with the round metal disc. This really works well, just like a nail filer, to file and sculpt the nails, just that I don’t need to put in a lot of effort when I use this device.
  • The soft rubber pusher can be used next to push back the skin.
  • With the buffing attachment, I can remove ridges on the surface of nails.
  • With the thin needle-like filing cone, I can smooth out the cuticles and remove rough skin from the edges.
  • I use the white polishing disc which lightly polishes the nails at the end of the manicure. It gives my nails a smooth finish and a slight shine.
  • I finish up by massaging my hands with loads of hand cream.

Well, this is not really a must-have device, but I quite like using this. It’s a fancy-looking, easy-to-use and operate, electronic beauty gadget. I try to use it at least once or twice in a month. I was a bit upset when I got this, as it was not really the thing I had asked for and I had to pay a bomb for this, but since I am using it now, I don’t regret a lot.  However, I don’t see myself re-purchasing this ever in the future (or get it repaired if it breaks down 😛 ) as I love to go out to my favourite salon, sit back and relax and give that extra TLC to my hand and feet without putting in any effort at all 😀

Pros of Boots No. 7 Rechargeable Manicure Set:

  • Handy device.
  • Can be recharged.
  • Can also be used with power and does not require fresh batteries each time for use like the pedicure set.
  • The speed of rotation of the attachments can be controlled as per requirement.
  • Nails can be filed, cleaned, cuticles can be smoothed out with this device without putting in any effort.

Cons of Boots No. 7 Rechargeable Manicure Set:

  • Super expensive.
  • No. 7 products are not available in India.
