Revlon Age Defying Makeup and Concealer Compact Review

Hello sweethearts,

As you all know concealers are our best friends. They actually support us when our actual skin does not. I got this particular makeup cum concealer from my cousin who stays in United States. She keeps on bringing these skin care and makeup stuff for me and I love her for that :P This product is made by the brand Revlon and I like the brand as they make really good products and are not at all disappointing. So, let’s see how this Revlon product worked for me.

My Take on Revlon Age Defying Makeup and Concealer Compact:

So, as I told you, my cousin bought this for me.  I actually was not there to select a particular shade that matched my skin tone, but she perfectly picked the right one for my skin tone. I think there are 6-7 shades in this range, Ivory Beige being the lightest and Sun Tan being the darkest. I saw the shades online and actually Ivory Beige was too light for my skin and this was absolutely bang on. I have oily skin and luckily this one is oil free, so it doesn’t clog my pores. It comes in a black compact thing which is quite sturdy and the lid opens very well without any disturbance. My cousin had bought it 2 years back, the packaging now comes in a red coloured box. It has a small mirror attached inside the box, so that you can take it along without taking the efforts to carry a different mirror along.

The sponge along with the compact is very soft and blends easily without rubbing the skin harshly. The smaller side is the concealer and the larger one is the compact, but actually the only difference between them is the shade, the consistency and everything is the same. The texture is very creamy and glided and blends very well on the skin. I do not use it as a compact, I just use it as a concealer as it is cakey, so it does not look good if applied on the entire face, but it works great as a concealer. Just dab it on your scars and blemishes and you will not even notice them at all. You can finish up the look by using loose powder or a powdered compact or makeup setting spray after you are done with applying the concealer. The redness or the scars will not be visible, only if you have a bumped zit, that will be visible. I also at times apply under eyes to cover up my dark circles and it blends nicely under the eyes as well. It will brighten up the eye area and help it to match the skin tone.

You can see in the pictures that due to summers, I was having a bad acne month, but gladly they are going now and you can see how effectively it covered the redness of my pimples. It stays on for like 4 hours, but that is okay, you can carry it along if you want to for a touch-up. It is actually a little waterproof, as if some water sprinkles fall on your face and you clean them up, still the concealer will be there. But if rub your face with water, it will go away. You will like this concealer only if you pick up a right shade and my cousin did that for me and I am loving this sweetheart!!

Pros of Revlon Age Defying Makeup and Concealer Compact:

  • Decently priced for the huge amount of quantity.
  • Covers up all my blemishes and acne scars.
  • Little waterproof as well.
  • Does not look very bright and noticeable.
  • Comes with a sponge and a small mirror.
  • Contains SPF 20.
  • Available in 6-7 different shades.
  • Two shades in one container, so even if you get a little tan, not to worry, the other shade will help you out.

Cons of Revlon Age Defying Makeup and Concealer Compact:

  • Some people who do not like creamy concealers may not like it.
  • Excessive water on the face may wash off the concealer.
  • Not to be applied on the whole face, will make the face cakey.
  • A makeup setting spray, pressed powder or loose powder should be applied after the concealer application or else it looks very cakey and weird.
  • No ingredients list.

Will I Repurchase/Do I Recommend Revlon Age Defying Makeup and Concealer Compact?

No, I won’t repurchase as this product is going to go a very long way and I want to try MAC after I am done with this. Yes, I do recommend this as it provides heavy coverage and has two shades in the container.

4/5 (-1 for cakey look).
