Nivea Visage Whitening Cleansing Foam Review

Nivea Visage Whitening Cleansing Foam

Hey IMBB Beauties :))

After an amazing and rejuvenating vacation at my parent’s native in Mangalore and getting back to my hectic work (or rather being too lazy to write something 😉 ), I am back with a new review.

Nivea Visage Whitening Cleansing Foam

So, today, I am going to review Nivea Visage Sparkling Glow Extra Cell Repair Oil Control Whitening Cleansing Foam (long name, whew!!! :headbang: )

What the Product Claims:

NIVEA VISAGE SPARKLING GLOW EXTRA CELL REPAIR OIL CONTROL WHITENING CLEANSING FOAM effectively removes upto 90% of oiliness for shine free fairness.
Result: The Skin is cleansed, leaving a fair, shine free & radiant complexion.
Application: Apply gently to moistened face and neck while avoiding the eye area. Rinse off with lukewarm water. DOES NOT CLOG PORES. Skin compatibility dermatologically approved.

The foam is really thick and very little quantity is required at a time.

My Experience with Nivea Visage Whitening Cleansing Foam:

I like this product. It lathers quite well. Though I was a little skeptical about the temporary fairness part, it does remove all the dirt and pollution from my face and makes my face squeaky clean. So, without further ado, I will list out the pros and cons of this product.

Pros of Nivea Visage Whitening Cleansing Foam:

  • Makes the skin squeaky clean (you can actually hear the squeaking sound your cheeks makes when you rub your skin).
  • Comes in an easy-to-carry tube form with a sturdy cap.
  • A little quantity goes a long way.
  • Contains Glycyrrhizha Glabra Root Extract and Aloe Barbadensis Leaf juice which are scientific names for Licorice and Aloe vera respectively. Licorice is known to enhance the fairness of the skin and Aloe Vera has healing properties and is mild enough for sensitive skin.
  • At Rs. 79 for 50 g, it’s definitely value for money.

Cons of Nivea Visage Whitening Cleansing Foam:

  • Skin does look fair when you wash the face, but the effect is temporary and doesn’t last long.
  • It didn’t do much for my dark spots.  If I were to compare it with Garnier Fairness Face wash, I would say the latter works much better on the dark spots.
  • As far as the oiliness is concerned, although it does wash out the oiliness from the skin, I wish it kept my skin oil-free for a longer time, say 4-5 hours.
  • This face wash is strictly for those with oily skin. Gals with dry skin should completely avoid it. I have a combination skin. I used this face wash in the summers, but I might skip it in the winters as it dries out my cheeks.

IMBB Rating:

3/5.

Would I Repurchase:

Maybe, but only for the summers, else its a strict no-no, even for the Mumbai winters.

  1. :thanks: :thanks: for the review,Richa! I think I’ll skip this and go for something else. I don’t think that this will meet my expectations,as of now. :nono:
But that said,I like hearing my skin being squeaky clean. :dumb: :dumb:

  2. this sounds bit like ponds facial foams (white beauty and activated carbon one )..they also do this temporary fairness thing but leave the skin utterly dry
