Top 5 Skin Toners under Rs.200
Toners are the trickiest part of your skin care routine. It takes so many hit and trials to find the toner your skin will love. I for one have used so many toners and keep finding something or the other in every toner, so my search never ends. That is why I was compiling a list of toners to buy which I will present to you after it gets completed. But meanwhile I came up with a new list of pocket-friendly toners in the market. I tried to incorporate all the brands possible. Have a look, there is something for everyone. And then take your pick.
Fab India Tea Tree Toner:
Anything with tea tree attracts me like magnet! Now almost all the products in my skin care routine have tea tree. It’s very beneficial if you have acne and their tell tales on your face. This is one of the best tea tree toners around. In fact I’m now convinced that Fab India has got the best toners to offer. This one specifically claims to be alcohol free and has salicylic acid which is known to keep acne at bay. Priced at Rs.125 for 200ml this is one of the most affordable toners around. The quantity is HUGE for the price you pay. It doesn’t sting which is a major relief for sensitive skinned people like me. A must try for oily skin.
Fab India Rose Toner:
All of us know that Rose Water is one if the best natural toners available on earth. We all also know how much rose water is good for our skin. So in our search of this natural rose toner, we have all once in our life used Gulabari Rose Water. It was not a miraculous product but was still good. Then came Gulabari Face Freshener which was the MOST pathetic toner I have ever used. It itched. It gave dry patches. It gave red marks. It foamed. I threw it out. Not actually. Threw the product out and kept the bottle since it was a spray one 😉
Then found Fab India Rose Toner and it is one of the best affordable Rose Toners available. Agreed the price is a bit high at Rs.175 for rose water but we all know what lack of proper substitutes and high demand can do to a product..sorry for putting in my economics..at least I didn’t fit in IC curves 😛 This works wonders for dry skin.
Aroma Magic Face Toner:
This toner is a bet. You either love it or hate it. It has worked for so many people because of its alcohol-free nature. But my super sensitive skin can’t take it. What makes it special that it has Witch Hazel which is very good for your skin. You can try and see if it works for you. However, if you have sensitive skin, I would suggest you to stay away or if you are curious (like me 😉 ) then use it in very small amounts to see if it works for you or not. Price Rs. 70 for 120ml.
Lotus Herbals Basiltone Toner:
The first thing that will attract you towards it is the spray bottle. It makes everything so much easier. The second thing that will attract you is “basil”. It’s the king of all herbs and used to treat so many skin problems. The third thing that will make you (me me me specially) pick this up is that it is specially made for oily and combination skin. It’s priced at Rs.185 for 100ml and is light green in color and smells of cucumber. But it foams like mad which I hate. It’s definitely not the best toner around, but definitely not bad either.
Biotique Cucumber Water:
This face freshener is actually a toner made especially for oily to combination skin. Biotique is a brand I’ve trust on but not sure of their claims of being totally herbal since its products shelf life is generally around 3years. Anyway, let’s ignore that for now. Coming to this toner, it keeps your skin oil free for a good amount of time which is totally a plus. Also it has this cooling sensation on your face when applied. It’s affordable too for its price of Rs.135 for 120ml. The catch? Oh yes there is always a catch! It stings badly. If you have sensitive skin, you sure are not going to like that. So pick it if you think you can handle that because otherwise it’s a great toner.

Great post…I’ll add Lotus Rose tone to the list which is also very good. I also love TBS Tree tea oil toner but then it would not fit here becoz of the high price

I am running out of my lotus rosetone….was thinking of getting my hands on fabindia toner…which one do you think would be appropriate for my normal skin tone (by normal I mean that my skin is quite balanced..during winters some dryness, during summers and other seasons a little oily in a good way, though cant be called combination)

I have been using Oriflame Pure Nature Aloe Vera and Arnica Soothing Toner. It works very well for my combination oily, sensitive skin. Lotus Basil tone is also nice.

Hi all…these days I’m using a real nice alcohol-free toner from Himalaya, am really loving it coz doesn’t sting my face (like the Biotique one does like mad…I have diluted the Biotique toner half with mineral water!). The Himalaya Toner is really gentle on the skin and does a very good job.

I have normal to dry skin and m tempted to try Fab India’s Tea Tree toner instead of Fab India Rose toner(which may suit my skin type). Do u think Tea Tree toner may be a bad idea for me?
well i have dry skin in winters and combination skin for the rest of the days .. i did try this fab india tea tree toner and it rewarded me with dark patches on my skin .. am happy with normal dabur rose water now 🙂
