Faces Canada Satin Matte Lipstick – Berry Brown
Faces Canada Satin Matte Lipstick gives a just-applied look for hours and will not crack, cake, or dry lips. Its smooth, glide-on texture gives a creamier feel for a long time.
This is my third lipstick from Faces and I must say I succumbed to the Faces lipstick reviews on IMBB and had to try myself. So, I picked up two from the Moisture Rich range and one from the Go Chic (review pending) and one from the Satin Matte ones. Now, Satin Matte sounds so smooth, matte, and creamy but trust me this lipstick is not matte. In fact, I would say the texture is very smooth and the finish is water shine and glossy, but overall, these are FANTASTIC lipsticks!
The shades available are many, some beautiful ones have been already reviewed on IMBB and some will soon be done in the near future by me of course! 😀

(Too many in there for plum lovers!)
Now, first of all, the packaging really makes you like the product in the first place. The neat carton in which it comes and the shiny round tube it is encased in is just so tempting. I love the packing and I find it very sleek and glamorous yet so simple, unlike their Moisture Rich ones, which are so bulky and big to carry around. This is just perfect!
The texture you would think is matte, but nothing about this lipstick is matte. The texture is very soft and smooth, literally feels like bursts of color are being released on the lips in just one swipe. Very impressive, very pigmented, and glides on like butter. Yeah that’s the right word, these are buttery lipsticks.
The color that I got was a big blunder, honestly, I got it by looking at some wrong swatch online, where it appeared so much lighter, but when I opened, it was pure brown looking in the tube and was not at all lighter nudey or berry. I was quite sad to do the box opening ceremony for this one since I ordered it online :waa:, but at least, the packaging was very impressive and so was the texture and the softness. The color, just an online shopping blunder, but that does not change my views on the finesse of this lipstick.
Now, the color honestly does not come out all brown on me. It comes out as a maroon-based brown, just like the name Berry Brown, again, which is so impressive that it is so aptly named and is not just some random number. The more I say in praise of this lipstick, the less it is. I am totally sold and I am looking forward to seeing the real swatches on the Faces counter and not some online shop before buying this one.
Last Word on Faces Canada Satin Matte Lipstick – Berry Brown:
This lipstick is one of the best I tried in the past six months. This is smooth, soft, pigmented, glossy finish (not matte as the name suggests). It is everything I would want from a lipstick. I just got a wrong color, that’s all. The lipstick is so moisturising that I think dry-lipped girls would simply love it. The lipstick may bleed a little due to the supple texture, but I can say applying this is like experiencing bursts of moisturising color on the lips. I am looking forward to more shades, I totally recommend buying this lipstick if you like moisturising, pigmented, glossy-finish lipsticks.

4.9 on 5 (minus because its confusing how it is named matte, but satin it is for sure).
