Himalaya Protein Shampoo Extra Moisturizing For Normal to Dry Hair

I was tempted to buy Himalaya Protein Shampoo, Normal to Dry Hair after my experience with Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo.

I had a troubled experience with Himalaya Anti-Hair Fall Shampoo, but I thought, since it is targeted as a solution for hair fall, it is supposed to be very mild, thus leaving behind oil in my hair, but, I wonder why Himalaya Protein Shampoo had to have the same features!

Protein shampoo

I swear I will not try any other shampoo from the Himalaya range. I picked up this shampoo because it is after all Himalaya!

All their other products are so good, but shampoos are a big NO!

My Experience with Himalaya Protein Shampoo-Normal to Dry:

Himalaya Protein Shampoo comes in a plastic bottle, a green flip cap with details printed on the bottle. It has a wonderful scent.

cap

A drop of Himalaya Protein Shampoo on your palm seems like an off-white colored pearl in your palm.

The shampoo does not lather well with the first wash. I excuse the first wash because I oil my hair very well before wash, but it does not lather enough even for the second wash. I find my hair oily even after the second wash and if I go for a third wash, my hair will be very dry for the following days. It feels like a haystack.

What a waste this shampoo is. In fact, I feel, Himalaya shampoos are all waste.

The oil never gets cleansed. With oil remaining, I feel my scalp and hair is also not clean. 🙁

God!!!! I bought a whole bottle of 400 ml !!! No idea why was I so dumb when I picked this up!!!!I will shift back to my ever-loyal Dove shampoo.

  1. Even I’ve not had any good experience with Himalaya shampoos :waiting: They seriously got to makeover their entire shampoo range. Otherwise, I am a big fan of their protein hair cream, works great for my hair.

  2. oops…such a bad product….better to stay away from this range….n also…chand u can try the kesh kanti shampoo from baba ramdev…the oil comes off in a single application…..

  3. I agree wholeheartedly with the review. Their previous range before they changed two years back was quiet good. But this is terrible 🙁

  4. Hey, i just wanted to mention that not lathering is a sign that the shampoo is herbal. Lathering is caused by harmful chemicals and since this shampoo is free of parabens and SLS, it doesnt lather. A lot of ayurvedhic shampoos are the same.
I was considering buying this shampoo. And considering the cons you listed, i think it is very much what i am looking for – a herbal shampoo. Thats why you need higher quantities. And its good that is does not remove oil easily – washing detergents do that. Thats why they are strong and roughen up your hands too.
