Lush Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly Review

Yes, sweetie pie is the name!!!!
Product Description from Lush’s Website:
Blackcurrant and cherry scents. Sweetie Pie is just that. It’s the sweetest of our jellies and goes well with our fruitiest products. We mix in iridescent glitter to leave a sparkle on your skin after you get out of the shower.

The fruity, purple shower jelly. Sweet and sophisticated fruitiness. Lashings of blackcurrant and bergamot essential oils in a sour cherry and coconut jelly make this about as fruity as you can get. It is incredibly difficult to resist taking a spoonful. Instead, take a handful and smooth it over your hair and body. Passing strangers will smell you and find their minds wandering to fruit pastilles.
Cherry Infusion: Studies suggest that sour cherries contain high levels of anthracyclines, are anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.
Carrageenan Extract: Carrageenan extract is mucilage extracted from Irish moss seaweed. It is dried and powdered. When it is rehydrated, the extract is versatile. It can act as a thickening agent, and durable films can be made from it.
How To Use:
Shower jellies are one of our most innovative products and there are many fun ways to use them. You can crush them into a shower pouf to create a rich lather or rub them directly on your body. Try freezing (or chilling) them for an especially cool, refreshing shower or bath experience. Shower jellies also make great shampoos and add lots of softness and shine to hair.
My Take on Lush Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly:
Sweetie Pie came to me in the sparkle gift set which has this and more products. Wrapped in plain pink paper and silver bow, Lush really impresses you with its packaging. To begin with, it looks kind of weird black with purple glitters in it. Caution, I used it in my night shower in case the sparkles tend to stick to the body and thank God, I did not come out of my shower looking like a glitter ball.
Secondly, I am so new to the concept of shower jellies as this was a present from my cousin. To me, shower jelly is kind of how shower gel and soap came together to give birth to a shower jelly O:)
I would never purchase anything like this for myself even out of whim, shower jelly really :lol2: I’d say if you want to have some fun in your shower, try this. This is weird, hard to figure out how to use, but incredibly good smelling. I can’t forget the way it smells. I tried rubbing it a lot on my skin and it is so slippery, but I did figure out a way to use it. The best way to use it is to cut it into inch pieces and then store, else it is difficult to break and very difficult to lather, but once you reach that point, it a bliss, ahh
The fragrance is too strong, straight out of the jar, but tones down in the shower. The jar itself is very cute and decor worthy. The scent also lingers for a while. This is like comfort bath for me, long comfort bath with this awesome-smelling jelly and just playing with it.
This can be used as a shampoo, shave and body wash 😉 me likeyyyy!
Being my first Lush product ever, I made sure, I measured it from every angle before reviewing it

we have this in Singapore and I bought mine last November out of curiosity. love the scent! love using it fresh from the fridge for the cooling effect. but i prefer using this only as a body soap cause i feel like it makes my hair stiff . and yes, it always slip off my hand the first few time using it but after a while, i got the hang of it. i like using Lush’s other handmade soaps too especially Lush’s Honey I Washed The Kid soap. happy venturing 🙂
