Inglot Lip Pencil No 23 Review, Swatches

How are you all? I told you I will be reviewing one more shade from inglot’s matte collection. Here it is. I love both the colors to the core. Find out which one you like more and then tell me.

Product description:

Medium hard, matte jumbo pencil. Great staying power makes it an alternative for lip liner used by professionals for colouring lips. Moisturising properties achieved by the complex of lanoline substitutes and avocado butter. PARABEN FREE FORMULA NOT TESTED ON ANIMALS.

My experience:
You know I love Inglot very much and matte lipsticks are my current taste. So I picked up these two shades 20 and 23 in their matte collection. Both are my treasured and must have shades. Now talking of the packaging- it comes in a black marker kind of look and is classy in appearance. It has a revolving kind of mechanism and worry not, it revolves back too. Now I was surprised to see that they deliver a lot of product unlike other revolving stick lip colors I have seen. Though I have revolved out a lot more stick than my previous review but this is still not the complete bullet. There is more inside. So, I must say, if they are charging 750 they are giving the amount for that price. This lipstick also has a sharpener at the end. For those of you who would like to use it as a lip liner may sharp it using the provided sharpener. For me, I only use it as a lipstick so I do not use the sharpener at all.

 

The shade is an old rose or brick rose kind. I have hoarded a lot of pinks but this one is different. An old rose kind of a shade in matte finish is like- a must grab one. Look at the hand swatch which is more close to reality. Lip swatches in different lightning look different. This shade is very flattering on fair complexion beauties. Dusky beauties would also rock it I think. Also, I recommend this shade to all the age group women alike.

Coming to the texture, it is smooth enough to apply on the lips without tugging but after all it is a matte lipstick, so it is obviously a bit drying. You should exfoliate your lips for better results. Also, those of you have dry lips can apply a hint of balm underneath as per your requirement. It stays on my lips for good 4-5 hours without meals. Even if I eat something, it lightens but does not disappear from my lips completely. I cannot expect a better staying power than this.

Now the only problem I have with this one is that the bullet is not as thick as that of a regular lipstick and it takes more time to fill in the entire lips. They have kept the thickness somewhere between a lip liner and a lipstick and have provided a sharpener along, so that it serves both the purposes. So, for the ones like me, who intend to use it as a lipstick alone would find it thin. Even after that I love these lipsticks to the core and the gorgeous shades they have to offer.

Pros:

• Pretty old rose type shade.
•  Matte; stays for long and even survives a meal.
•  Classy packaging.
•  Paraben free.
•  Completely odourless.
•  Long bullet.
•  Flatters all skin tones and age groups.

Cons:

•  Bullet will appear a bit thin for the ones like me who would only use it as a lipstick.
