H&M 36 Colors Eyeshadow Palette Review

H&M 36 Colors Eyeshadow Palette

H&M is a famous clothing store and I have known them for years, even though I don’t like much the fashion sense they cater, which is mostly trends, still I can always find something in store for my taste and think that their clothes are well made.

H&M Eyeshadow Palette Review

However, only recently, it came to my notice that they also offer a lingerie brand and a makeup brand as well. The lingerie section offers bras to sweatpants and the makeup section has a huge selection of cases, bags brushes, eyeshadows, shower and bath and many many other things on display.

H&M Eyeshadow Palette

The makeup is priced fairly cheaper than the drugstore brands which says a lot because here MaxFactor products are around 20 Euros, which I find expensive as it is almost same price as some higher-end brands.  So now, when I want to spend money on something I know I don’t need or want, it should be cheaper choices. So, I bought the 36 colors eyeshadow palette by H&M. If you don’t fuss about brands nor quality for that matter :D, H&M is definitely worth checking out if you are not too brand conscious or haven’t yet swatched an UD eyeshadow.  Ignorance is bliss, I tell you.

Eyeshadow

The palette has 36 colors and many combinations are possible, the shadows have a fine shimmering finish, but it isn’t very noticeable and they could pass for matte in my opinion.

Ingredients

The palette is small and contains 30.6 g of product which is a lot. I don’t carry any eyeshadow pan/palette ever around nor ever dropped this one, so I can’t testify its toughness, but it feels sturdy.

I randomly took swatches of the eyeshadows and they are not made equal, as we can see on the bottom, that there are different formulas for almost all of them, so some are definitely more pigmented than others.

Eyeshadow Palette

As you can notice, the quality is very common and they don’t look very high. I have used them with primer and they do work well enough I would say, for instance, there are many colors of this palette that I can’t do without now.

Palette

I have oily lids, so I didn’t have a problem with this palette, but it might be a bit too drying for some people. I for one am satisfied with this palette and while I don’t deny the color payoff is any good, I still see more pros than cons.

The nudes are the faintest colors, and the ones I use most, it was because of this wheel of colours that I was able to reproduce many looks from the blog and from youtubers. I think its always great to have a palette. In this case, H&M generally would have a tester of the product on offer, but they didn’t have for the palette specifically and that was bad, still it wouldn’t have put me off buying it.

Swatches

The overall swatch is very chalky, but on the lid it sits very nicely. If you are a newbie to makeup or colors, this is a great palette for you to try. I didn’t get disappointed as I hadn’t any expectations of greatness whatsoever regarding this product. I am fairly satisfied to tell the truth and will keep on purchasing from them, even if not the same products, because I believe we should value our money as much as it takes to earn it. I would also like to inform that you won’t see fancy things from my side much 😀 as my purchases of one product will rarely surpass 2k rupees anyway ever.

Price:

6 Euros at H&M for 30.6 g, approximately INR 420.
