Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream Review

Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream

Hi Friends, So, winter is almost here and its my favourite season after the monsoons. Warm blankets, cosy couches, good books, and a huuuge cup of cappuccino, ahh bliss!! I love being a lazy bum (as a matter of fact I often feel that Garfield must have been my “mele me bichra hua bhai!!” But the only thing which stops me from enjoying all the coziness is my dry skin.  The stretching, itching, dry patches come to the surface again and again and I have to literally run for a moisturising cover every now and then.  So, this sudden nip in the temperature post-durga puja had already set my skin in a frenzy and got me in a ninja mode to get myself a decent moisturising cream.  So, a few weeks back, I got this one, Blossom Kocchar Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream (its mentioned as an anti-wrinkle cream for normal to dry skin).

Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream

A few winters’ back, I had used some moisturising cream from Aroma Magic and had totally loved it. So, without giving much thought, I wanted something from Aroma Magic this time too, but I was totally disappointed by the change of packaging.  Earlier, they had similar tubs, but you could at least make out what was it and now all of them have these white tubs with pink caps and at a single glance at the rack, I was like WTH ,which one is what?

Aroma Magic

All of them looked so similar and so tacky! Anyway, I got a pushy SA (more disappointments) who showed me an array of creams. I had to scream that I just want a thick cream, bas! Then, she handed me two, one was a light cream for fairness purpose and this one, well, I personally don’t like anything that claims fairness.

Aroma Magic Anti-Wrinkle cream

I don’t know what they have got in them, but they totally dry me out. So, I chose this one (please note here that I have a thing for anything which mentions almonds, chocolate, walnut, apricot, coffee, shea butter and all those earthy things! I don’t like citrus or floral fragrances).  So, I picked up this one without thinking much about its claim to be an anti-wrinkle cream (if it didn’t suit me, it may help my mom na? ) and boy do I love this??

Cream for dry skin

I am totally hooked onto this one *sighs with a overwhelming close-my-eyes-ear-to-ear-smile*

My Take on Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream:

I am really really happy I bought this one and I am totally satisfied with it.  It quenches up my skin’s thirst and leaves it well moisturised and supple.  Its a very thick cream with some fine granules (that may be the extracts of almond but a light pressure and gets it absorbed).  Only a little amount is needed.

The crème has this particular smell of almond oil and sandalwood.  I found out to be a bit strong initially, but once you are done with applying it onto your skin, no overwhelming fragrance remains.  It gets absorbed fast and within a minute or so into my skin.  There is no greasiness.  It did not cause any irritation or breakouts.  It is really good at moisturising, as once applied I don’t have to worry about re-application for 3-4 hours minimum.  I also use it at bedtime, so when I wake up after 6-7 hours of sleep, I find my skin to be moisturised, nonoily

I can’t really comment about its anti-wrinkle effect, but I think this may be of help in that aspect as good moisturising is a keyword for prevention of wrinkles.

Oh and I forgot to mention that the first time I opened the pack, the content was sealed with an aluminium kind of foil.

Summing up:

Pros of Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream:

  • Its a very moisturising crème, perfect for winters and more so for dry skin beauties.
  • Initial smell is a bit strong, but not overwhelming.  After application onto the skin, the fragrance won’t bother you much.
  • Very little amount is required.
  •  Didn’t cause any irritation or burning sensation.
  • Didn’t break me out.
  • Contains goodies like almond, sandalwood, and other essential oils.
  • Skin remains hydrated for 3-4 hours.
  • Shelf life mentioned.
  • Available at retail counters and even online.

Cons of Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream:

  • Not for oily skin.
  • I don’t like the packaging.

Would I Recommend Aroma Magic Almond Nourishing Cream:

Definitely, try this one if you have dry skin.

Would I Buy it Again?

Definitely yes!  Once I apply this, I can be my own lazy self and not worry about dry patches and stretchy skin.

Rating:

4.9/5 (-0.05 each for the initial smell and the packaging).

Hope you like this!

Take Care.
