Best Drugstore Brand Face Packs (Under Rs.300) For Oily-Acne Prone Skin
When I compiled the Best Drugstore Foundations for Oily-Combination Skin List, I received good appreciation from one and all here on IMBB. One reason could be that most of us belong to the “cool oily skin gang” 😀 So, I had enough impetus to compile another list of best face packs for oily-acneprone skin. Again, the list is in random order, not in the order of my preference/liking.
Aroma Magic Witch Hazel Pack:
Price:
Rs. 160 – 50 gm.
This is a clear gel-based pack and smells highly of tea tree. Witch hazel is known for its pore-reduction properties. This pack is one of my favourite and I will always repurchase this no matter what. This is also my staple before makeup when I have to attend a party or formal occasion. It does reduce pore size (though temporarily) and brings about a glow on the face. Read my complete review here.
Lotus Herbals Tea Tree Pack:
Price:
Rs.120 -60 gm.
This was a random purchase. Moreover, I have always liked Lotus skin care products, especially their sunscreens. The pack is clay based, ready-to-use kind and comes in a convenient tube-type packaging. Removes oil from the face and when used regularly can reduce breakouts. Read detailed review.
Jovees Veg Peel Pack Review:

Rs. 165 for 100 gm.
I got this pack after seeing a review here on IMBB. This comes in a grainy, powder form and needs to be mixed with toner/water to get a pack-like consistency. This is an interesting two-in-one product. It has particles, so you can use it for exfoliation first and then just let it dry as a pack. It reveals a clear face post washing off, I like it fairly. Himalaya Neem Pack:

Rs. 170 for 200 gm and Rs. 60 for 50 gm.
Now, we all know how wonderful is neem for oily-acne prone skin. Himalaya’s neem face wash is one of its most-raved about product; so when they came out with their neem pack, I had all the reasons to try it.
Its a ready-to-use; green-coloured pack which comes in a tube-type packaging. I feel it’s a little drying for my slightly oily skin, but definitely a good value for money product. Read full review here.
Aroma Magic Calamine Pack:

Rs. 160 for 35 gm.
This pack was recommended by a salon girl to me when I got my back waxed once and had a terrible bout of breakouts. This comes in a powder form and needs to be mixed with water/toner. Garlic is one of its main ingredient and it smells a lot of garlic. I used this pack regularly on back acne/breakouts for 1-2 weeks and I saw significant results.
I like that the pack comes in sealed plastic packs and you can open each as and when required. I have dispensed the outer box in fact and kept the pack refills only.

Biotique Bio Clove Purifying Anti-Blemish Face Pack:
Price:
Rs. 199 for 85 gm.
This is a ready-to-use clay-based pack and smells heavily of cloves. Cloves are said to be great for reducing acne.
This was a recent purchase and I like this. It gives a clean face appearance and does not dry out my skin. Read full review here.
Shahnaz Hussain Skin Beautifying Oxygen Pack:
Again, bought after seeing a review on IMBB. Now, this is not the typical clay-based pack. It’s a gel-based one with blue particles. I can’t comment whether its great for acne prone skin/reduces acne, but it suits well my oily skin and brings about a glow on the face. I like this pack/mask a lot. Read full review here.
Jovees Tea Tree and Clove Anti-Acne Face Pack:

I bought this pack long back. It’s a ready-to-use clay-based pack again with lots of tea tree oil, neem, and clove in it. This has not been reviewed here on IMBB as of yet.
All the face packs I have mentioned above have been used personally by me. This list of best face packs for oily skin however is not exhaustive. I have skimmed through IMBB archives and found that following face packs have also been recommended for oily and acne-prone skin.

So, the things common with these face packs are the ingredients like clay, tea tree, clove, neem, garlic; some of the packs are ready to use while others need to be mixed with a medium like rose water/toner.
As per your requirement, preference of brand, and price, you can pick any if you have oily-acne prone skin. I however do not swear by these ready-to-use face packs and use them just on a lazy day when I don’t feel like making a fresh pack out of ingredients from my kitchen shelf.

Know what? yesterday I had a very cute encounter..I had gone to this cart near my home to get chinese momos packed..and I was waiting for the guy to do that..tabhi ek small kiddo came and started asking me for the momos..I shooed him away….there were many people sitting there and eating momos..He went to them too..but they didn’t pay any heed…When I got my parcel…I just instinctively asked the momos guy to make one plate for the kid too…he made one and gave it to the kid..I thought the kid would start eating..but the kid didn’t even taste a bit..he took the plate and started walking back and reached a tree shade where a small girl was sitting wearing a scarf…he first fed one momo to her and then started with his own..I got tears in my eyes!! 😥 such a small kid…still so selfless despite being hungry!!!! Such moments just make you treasure your life even more… :))
