My Take on Revlon Colorstay Sparkling Eyeliner Green Sparkle:
I can never get enough of these coloured eye pencils 😛 I have them in almost all shades (I think), but I still drool at every new/different shade I come across. So, while buying the Revlon Moisture Stay Lipstick, I saw this particular shade; Green Spark at the Revlon counter. Now, its nowhere even near green. It’s a gorgeous turquoise blue colour. I fell for the shade instantly and bought it. Only at the billing counter, I realised that it was for Rs. 440 😐 (I love my Faces eye pencils which works equally well and are priced at Rs. 249.) Anyway, it’s a beautiful shade and I am loving it 🙂
Revlon Colorstay Sparkling Eyeliner comes in a standard pencil form which can be sharpened. The texture is soft and these glide on smoothly, easily on the eyelids without any tugging/pulling.
The pigmentation is decent enough, but I won’t consider it intense. I had to swipe these 2-3 times to get proper/intense colour on my eye lids.
The liner sets quickly, like within seconds of application. If you need to smudge these for a smokey eye effect, you should do it immediately after application, as once set, these don’t smudge at all.
These pencils are shimmery and immediately brighten up the eyes. The silver shimmer this has is not super fine but not gritty either. I find these apt for an evening out or when you really don’t have the time to do proper eye makeup, but the downside is, I can’t use these on my waterline because of the shimmer. I can’t tell you whether these are waterline safe as I haven’t tried them there and nothing is mentioned on the pencil too about it.
I like that the liner has great staying power. It stays intact without smudging for good 5-6 hours, after which it starts to fade lightly.
Overall, the eye pencil is of really good quality. I bought it as I instantly fell for the shade. I find these are a little overpriced. Colorbar and Faces eye pencils are equally good and they would cost you half, but, I would definitely buy this particular shade when I finish up this pencil.
What I Like about Revlon Colorstay Sparkling Eyeliner Green Sparkle:
- Soft texture.
- Smooth application, glides on easily on the lids.
- These do not smudge.
- Sets within seconds of application.
- Great staying power.
- Being shimmery, these are great for party eye makeup and instantly brighten up the eyes.
- Decent pigmentation which is buildable.
- It’s a sharpenable kind of eyeliner pencil and I prefer these over retractable ones.
- Easily available across Revlon Counters.
What I Don’t Like about Revlon Colorstay Sparkling Eyeliner Green Sparkle:
- I can’t use these on waterline because of the shimmer.
- These are overpriced.
- Limited shade selection.

Nandini, i sharpen all my pencil liners with a lakme sharpener i got ages back(i guess in colg :P)
it still works fine… n it is still v much available at all Lakme counters… 🙂 U can also get colorbar ‘s Pencil sharpener 🙂

i think you can use it on the waterline…i use the brown spark one on my waterline (and i wear lenses too)…never had any problems. 🙂
